Senior Ruby Engineer (offline) $7000-8000

- As a Senior Backend Engineer on the infrastructure team, you will develop and maintain solutions for our supporting systems, such as Payment integrations SSO and Universal Login. At times this role will require you to work closely with other domains to help them integrate the solutions you build. We are looking for someone who can jump into a monolith stack and help modernize experiences through building APIs, improving current usability, and responding to our users’ needs. Our goal is to build our system through a series of APIs to support autonomous frontends while maintaining our core business.
- The primary stack will focus on Ruby. RoR knowledge is helpful. At times this role will require you to work closely with other domains to help them integrate the solutions you build. If interested, there is an opportunity to work on other systems built using NodeJS, Python, etc.

PROJECT STACK and TEAM:

Project stack: Ruby, Ruby on Rails, VueJS, SASS, AWS
Daily-stand-ups around 9.30-11.30 am Dallas time

Agile, 2 months cycles development
CD – deploy multiple times a day
Slack/Jira/Confluence

Interview process:
- 30 mins Evolve HR/Tech screening;
- Code exercise;
- 60 mins Team interview (review a Code exercise + additional questions like adding an operator, or extend this or that here);
- 20 mins Director of Engineering chat.

MAIN REQUIREMENTS:
1. 5+ years as a back-end experience;
2. 3+years as a Ruby/Ruby on Rails experience;
3. Experience working with other languages besides Ruby and JavaScript;
4. SOLID grasp of programming paradigms and patterns;
5. Nice to have experience (with one or more): NodeJS, TypeScript, SOA and Microservice architecture, AWS, Kafka, Docker, Flutter, Python.
