What You Will Do

- Scope, design and implement the unique, large scale, high-performance distributed systems in face of complex and often changing business logic

- Collaborate with design, product, and engineering teams to bring product ideas to life.

- Continuously measure and optimize the performance, effectiveness, and uptime of backend services -- participate in a data driven culture

- Own and drive high-level features from planning through implementation, be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle, and solve complex technical challenges.

- Work across teams to understand product requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and deliver the solutions needed to build innovative products.

- Continuously improve our product by innovating on the service following latest technology trends and business requirements

Who You Are

- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience

- Experience with scaling and maintaining high-traffic production systems in previous positions

- Proficient in Go or Java

- Experienced in cloud infrastructure technologies (i.e. Microservices Architecture, RESTful APIs) and cloud based test automation solution

- Familiarity with cloud native deployment practices; specifically, containers and container orchestration platforms (Docker/Kubernetes/Helm) and the Kubernetes environment

- Experience working with relational databases (MySQL, Postgres) and key/value stores

- Appreciate agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and responsible experimentation.
