Senior Front-end (React.js) Developer (Automotive Domain)

We are looking for a creative and skilled Senior Front-end Developer with a focus on React.js development. Your primary responsibility will be new functionality development, continuous improvement and optimization of existing codebase, troubleshooting, technical debt, and experiments.

Project
Our German client performs the implementation of a platform for online sales of used cars for one of the leading car manufacturer brands in Europe.

Solution: Implementation based on a modern React.js front-end + microservice infrastructure. Connection to the “Vehicle Transaction Platform” (VTP), “Vehicle Status Service” (VSS), marketing portal, and VW Financial Services. International rollout.

Goals for development:

• Online loan application via VW Financial Services
• Choice between credit card payment and bank transfer
• Transfer of credit calculation from the car search
• Connection via any given platform
• Additional services: delivery to your doorstep, authorization by dealers, and a 14-day right of return

Responsibilities

Design separate components, modules, classes, database tables, etc.
Code, debug, document, and maintain portions of software
Perform unit and integration testing
Participate in peer code and design reviews
Participate in estimation and planning sessions
Contribute to development of technical project documentation and user documentation
Provide assistance to test engineers and support personnel in solving technical issues of software installation and its operation
Participate in conference calls and face-to-face meetings with the Customer and Customer partners
Comply with the best engineering practices, the technical standards, and the quality criteria set forth on the project
Report status and progress according to the project and Company demands
Spot current deficiencies in the development process, adopted procedures and engineering practices, environment configurations, etc., and suggest improvements
Escalate technical issues to the Architect, Team Lead, and Project Manager
Improve your qualification within the area(s) of expertise at various training courses, seminars, and/or other educational organizations

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in React.js
At least basic knowledge of MS SQL 1+ years
Solid knowledge and proper usage of Object-Oriented Programming and Design
Good knowledge of XSD/XML CSS/HTML
Evidence of having worked successfully without much supervision
Knowledge and successful experience of JS-based libs
At least Upper-Intermediate level of English
