QA Engineer (offline) $2000-3400

Project: Online platform that combines consultations with doctors and online drugstore

Tasks and responsibilities:

Approximately 70% of manual and 30% of automation tasks
Manual testing both of new and existing functionality (web + mobile)
e2e, integration test coverage using Cypress + JS
Participate in planning and estimations
Complete project tasks on time and in good quality
Participate in project calls and suggest improvements
Provide support and assistance to other team members
Inform about issues or blockers clearly, on time and in good manner

Technical skill required:

4+ years of commercial experience with testing on modern and legacy web browsers with macOS and Windows
Good knowledge of Agile methodologies and test design
Independence and ability to build QA process from scratch
Experience testing on mobile and tablet devices as well as virtual devices with Browserstack and VirtualBox
Experience managing and prioritizing multiple activities, across multiple projects, while ensuring output quality
Experience with Postman (incl. test creation for API testing)
Experience with Cypress or similar automation tools
Excellent English communication skills both written and oral

Our tech stacks vary also but there are some repeating patterns. Python (Django quite often), .Net, JS approaches Angular/Node/React - AWS, Docker, Puppet, Jenkins seem to recurre quite a lot.

We pay well, in $, but you can probably get a few $ more freelancing. We offer benefits though and we don't drop the team if the work is quiet. Quieter times are for learning training, adding certifications etc as we invest in your skills.

We are currently 30 people. We plan to grow to around 50.

We have been working with remote teams since 2004.

Interviewing what to expect: as mentioned we are looking for long term staff so there are 3 stages. Culture fit and communications, Technical interview, Interview by senior Devs.

English: 95% of all work is done in text English, so text EN needs to be good. Not perfect. Good. Fast in chat. understandable. but we don't care about grammar and spelling so much. Good spoken EN is a bonus, not vital.
