About the position:
This position is needed to design big data solutions for business data. The successful candidate will know the right technology and match data access patterns with best technology solutions and integrate heterogeneous environments into a single logical data layer. The Data Engineer role is responsible for design and development of data solutions. This position will create technical design documents that map source to target, define transformation rules and ensure integration with our unified data hub solution.

Bread and butter
* Exploratory data analysis, data cleaning & processing - Perform data discoveries to understand data formats, source systems, file sizes, etc. and engage with business partners in this discovery process.
* Building ETL solutions with a strong understanding of ETL concepts and the ability to apply those concepts broadly across multiple technologies.
* Enrich Data from various sources such as 3rd party and in-house databases.
* Translating business requirements into actual solutions while maintaining a high level of accuracy and data integrity.
* Contributing to the core design of data architecture, data models and schema, and implementation plan.

The checklist
* 2+ years in a data engineering position preferably in Python or Java.
* Very good understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, BI practices and concepts.
* Experience with building data pipelines and using technologies in AWS, AirFlow or Talend.
* Proficiency in SQL
* Experience with AWS data stack - Redshift, Glue, S3, Athena
* Enthusiastic about code quality, architecture, design, testing, and performance.
* Team player, highly motivated, can-do approach.

Nice to have
* Experience with big data and ETL tools - Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, etc.
* Experience with data integration such as - geospatial datasets/GIS ,Weather ,IoT, etc.
* Experience with NoSQL databases
* Experience with API & Data services.
* Familiarity with ML data pipelines technologies.
* Working in an agile environment.
