What you do during the month:

1) Get trained in the basics of Datagrok:

– self-serviced exploratory data analysis using the platform

– retrieving data from relational data sources and web services

– visualizing, filtering and transforming data

– scripting on the platform with Python and JavaScript

– extending the platform with plugins and applications

– building Datagrok packages and versioning them with git

– building scientific applications and plugins with Datagrok

2) Learn the essentials of JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python/R for extending Datagrok

3) Implement course exercises and projects to get hands-on with the platform

4) Together with the Datagrok team, participate in projects for implementing and maintaining real-world Datagrok packages for life sciences in open source

Requirements:

- Education: master or bachelor (4-5 years student)

- Good mathematical and algorithmic base

- Confident knowledge of one of the programming languages

- Life Sciences / Academia background / PhD is a strong plus

- Some experience with Web Development is a plus

- Good English β€” at least B1

- Motivation for working deep and learning quickly

- Strong desire to work in the life sciences industry
