What would you be doing?

You will lead our DevOps team (currently 3 people)

You will help us to migrate from Amazon ECS to Kubernetes

You will support us in the transition from a monolithic architecture to microservices

Create and maintain our pipelines

Coach, mentor and develop the other DevOps engineers

Conduct regular 1 to 1 sessions with DevOps engineers

You will ensure our entire infrastructure is codified and can be provisioned with a single command

Continuously improve DevOps engineering practices

What are we expecting from you?

7+ years in a DevOps role, 3+ years as DevOps Lead or Head of DevOps

Superior knowledge of working in cloud based infrastructure, in particular

Outstanding experience deploying and managing Kubernetes/Docker clusters

Demonstrable knowledge of microservices oriented architectures

Familiarity with Multi Region Topologies, Auto Scaling, Load Balancers, Proxy Servers, SNS, SQS, DNS, CDNs and WAFs

Capable of architecting frictionless security and compliance best practices into global cloud infrastructure

At ease with troubleshooting in complex environments through experience using monitoring and logging tools such as New Relic One, Prometheus and Kibana

Master of Infrastructure as Code, in particular with and Terragrunt

Good knowledge of configuration management tools, preferably Ansible

Vast experience with build tools, especially with Jenkins

Guardian of secrets, hands-on experience with HashiCorp Vault

Custodian of artifacts, experience with Amazon ECR

Solid understanding of service discovery and distributed key-value stores

Experience working with RDBMS like PostgreSQL, MySQL

Experienced working in/with Lean, DevOps culture

 

Nice to have

Solid knowledge of Nginx and Apache HTTP Server

You deployed on production at least one of the following message brokers: Kafka, Pulsar, Pravega, with the preference to the last one

You deployed on production, and upgraded Apache Flink

Hands-on experience with Tekton and Argo CD

Solid understanding of service discovery and distributed key-value stores

At easy using Python and/or Groovy
