You will
- Manage and support a development team of 5+ frontend and backend engineers that is part of the product engineering pillar.
- Obsess about simple architecture and designing reliable and scalable systems.
- Align team priorities and be responsible for the overall planning, scope management, and execution and own SDLC.
- Own operational efficiency for your team including small frequent releases, environment management, and CICD.
- Uphold our culture of ownership and accountability.
- Manage, mentor, support, and grow individual contributors.
- Spend 20% of your time coding.
- Establish deep understanding of the domain, product, and customers and collaborate effectively with product and customer facing parts of the company.
- Be a bar raiser for your engineering team and our entire organization.

You have
- 5+ years of coding in a team environment shipping production code.
- Solid engineering leadership experience.
- Strong practical knowledge of distributed system architecture.
- Command of Python.
- Passion for clean, modular, and readable code.
- A deep understanding of how the web works and love designing beautiful APIs that make life easy for your consumers.
- A product mindset and you enjoy creating value and delighting your users.
- Deep curiosity to understand how things work in order to own and solve problems.
- You [want to] know enough about AWS infrastructure to be able to monitor and ensure your services are healthy and happy on production.
- Most importantly, you are self-driven, well organized, curious, tenacious, and communicate effectively. You ask a lot of questions, dig deep, and come up with creative reliable solutions and execute repeatably with a great sense of ownership and accountability.

Other
- While we have engineering across the globe, almost all communication is deliberately local by design. Most of our product engineering is located in Kyiv.
- We do not expect you to be online outside of normal (local) business hours.
- Although we keep all documentation in English, spoken English is not a requirement.
- We offer paid vacation and sick time and observe holidays in accordance with the local custom.
- We provide laptops and other equipment as needed.
