Business Data Analyst (Fintech) Offline

Required skills

 

● Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field: Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Data Science or related field.

● Master’s degree in analytics, computer modeling, science, or math is a plus.

● 1-3+ year’s work experience in the consumer lending industry.

● Understanding of the key drivers of consumer loan/credit card financials and the underlying consumer behaviors

● Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to think strategically and problem solve.

● Proficient Microsoft Office and advanced Microsoft Excel

● Experience in dealing with data in various formats and programing with data manipulation tools such as Python, SQL etc.

● Experience with data processing, analysis, and automation skills with Python

● Possesses Tableau, Looker or similar coding skills with experience developing visualizations that provide an accessible way to see and understand trends, outliers, and data patterns.

● Good business acumen and the ability to associate and contrast insights with business objectives and decisions.

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex information in a digestible and compelling manner.

 

Responsibilities

 

● Develop, manage, and maintain reports on product performance, operations and risk metrics.

● Lead dashboard design process and own rollouts from development to production across different business areas

● Synthesize raw data from various sources into actionable insights to drive business results, identify trends, and opportunities.

● Build reports, presentations and dashboards that effectively showcase and communicate trends, patterns and predictions using relevant data.

● Lead and mentor junior analyst in data visualization and information presentation to ensure the delivery qualification

● Deliver on various data and reporting projects end-to-end, including requirements identification and gathering, timelines, cross-departmental coordination, and risk/dependency assessment and monitoring.

● Work closely with data scientists and data engineers to design and maintain scalable data models and pipelines.

● Formulate business insights on growing the business, improving efficiency, and deepening customer and departmental relationships based on data.

● Track and analyze the performance of various tests and acquisition programs for strategy recommendation

● Continuously improve current process for better efficiency and accuracy

● Retrieve data and conduct data-driven analytics utilizing various analytical tools, software and techniques

● Act as a strong advocate for data quality across the organization
