About the company

We are an Augmented Reality startup located in Zurich, Switzerland with branch offices in Berlin, Germany, and Chongqing, China. Out of our 15 employees, 7 are developers. We are hard at work developing our application platform – ‘sphere’. It is our ambition to grow ‘sphere’ into the de facto standard for B2B and industrial AR/MR, similar to what Microsoft Office has achieved in the business world.

Our revolutionary solution has not gone unnoticed. In late 2018, we raised 1.2 Million USD in funds during our Seed Round. Furthermore, the product already underwent 3 paid Proof of Concepts at companies such as AIRBUS.

We have a very motivated, skilled, and fun team. Being a startup, we work rather flexible and make decisions fast. Nevertheless, excellence in our work is the most important thing.

 

About the project

All developers work on our main product – sphere for which we have big plans in the future and therefore will continue to work on in the foreseeable future. All AR functionality of our product is based on Unity.

 

About the processes

We loosely follow a SCRUM process with daily “stand-up” meetings and larger weekly meetings. We organize the work in sprints. Tasks will be created and assigned to developers in Jira. We don’t use quantitative measures for performance assessment but rather qualitative ones (see requirements).

 

Responsibilities

Total redesign of the mixed reality user interface to 3D based interaction

Integration of IoT and live machine sensor data

Implementation of a skills-based recommendation/matchmaking system to pair technicians with online experts

Development of an interactive animation tool for 3D models

Port of mobile/standalone applications to the Web

 

Requirements

Experience with Unity3D and C#

Implement and improve our real-time systems including networking, live-streaming, user interfaces, input, gameplay, 3D spatial understanding etc.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues including debugging and critical problem solving

Collaborate within a cross-discipline team including graphic design and user experience

Work in a dynamic, agile, and fast-moving team and adapt to a quickly changing technological landscape

Contribute to (and promote) engineering best practices and implementations within the team

Work independently as a self-starter, but also be able to receive guidance and feedback from others
