We're seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop and implement software for our e-commerce website localization service. This person will be an integral member of the team, responsible for creating and maintaining software components written in TypeScript and using Node.js and serverless computing. This person will also be involved in domain-specific design and implementation both around e-commerce website localization, as well as application-specific areas such as HTML parsing, HTML rewriting, HTTP proxying, and working with diverse teams within the company. This role requires strong communication skills in English, as well as comprehensive troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Responsibilities:
β Create and maintain system software components including backend and frontend to localize and proxy e-commerce websites that are using a variety of popular e-commerce platforms (Magento, Shopify, BigCommerce)
β Providing technical support by troubleshooting issues and creating bug fixes
β You will influence your peers and your stakeholders to design a top-notch solution for every problem space you put your hands-on
β Testing software functionality, debugging, and performance tuning
Requirements:
β 2+ years of recent production quality Node.js product development experience
β BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or comparable working experience in software engineering
β Knowledge of developing and debugging web applications, HTTP protocol and the DNS protocol
β Familiarity with AWS Lambda, Google Functions, or Cloudflare
Workers; TypeScript, Python, or PHP coding; e-commerce platforms.
