On behalf of our client, the product IT-company, we are looking for a System Administrator for relocating to Vilnius (Lithuania).
Company is a developer and supplier of interactive (LIVE), simple and adrenaline-packed gaming products for betting business (B2B). All clients games are LIVE and being broadcasted directly from studios, since LIVE games are able to give a higher reliability and interactivity.
Responsibilities:
Live video streaming network administration: UNIX based media servers, CDN;
Live video delivery network monitoring, problems troubleshooting;
Initiate and execute projects related to media servers and live video delivery;
Investigate new systems, techniques, and equipment (especially encoding/transcoding, mobile video, live broadcast);
CDN configuration, contract terms negotiation with CDN supplier;
Proposing and implementing enhancements to improve live video stream quality, performance and availability.

Requirements:
3+ years of experience in systems engineering & networking & production web hosting environment;
3+ years of IT Operations experience with a proficiency in the Linux and other Open Source technologies.
Nice to have:
Understanding of media formats on mobile devices;
Knowledge of video codecs and compression (H264);
Knowledge of rtmp, http and other common internet protocols;
Sound networking, DNS, Load Balancing, and general HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) knowledge (nice to have).
