Auto-pokes opened to all categories with adjusted thresholds

Recruiters can now use auto-pokes across all categories. Minimum experience and salary thresholds were lowered, with category-specific exceptions.

What changed

Auto-pokes are now available for all categories (previously a limited set). The candidate matching thresholds were updated:

  • Default: 2+ years of experience, $2,000+ expected salary.
  • Non-technical roles: 1+ year, $1,000+ โ€” same as before.
  • JavaScript / QA: 3+ years (slightly stricter than default).

We also dropped skill-matching from auto-pokes โ€” too many recruiters skip the skills field on their jobs, so the filter was hurting matches more than helping. The daily cap stays at 50 auto-pokes per recruiter.

In the form

The auto-poke section on the job form now:

  • Always shows the explanation panel (no longer hidden by default)
  • Highlights which criteria don't match the auto-poke rules, if any
  • Explains exactly how candidate matching works
  • Lets you use saved message templates for the auto-poke text
