About the Role:
We are seeking a QA Engineer to join our team and take ownership of the quality assurance process for our newly acquired PaymentHub product, HubbleGate. This role is unique in that it involves starting QA activities from scratch due to the product’s limited existing documentation. Responsibilities: 

• Provide effective leadership for the QA team, including hiring, training, development, and performance evaluation. 
• Optimize and oversee testing processes, including quality monitoring, defect management, and test activities. 
• Develop and implement testing strategies to ensure high-quality standards. 
• Introduce modern approaches and tools to enhance testing efficiency, including both manual and automated testing. 
• Participate in the recruitment process for QA team members. 
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to integrate testing at all stages of product development. 
• Define testing methodologies, covering both manual and automated testing. 
• Prepare reports on testing results, analyze defects, and identify key trends. 

Requirements: 

• Experience in a leadership role as a QA Lead. 
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Appium, etc.).
• Expertise in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. 
• Experience in testing mobile applications for iOS and Android.
• Deep understanding of testing processes, including manual and automated testing, API testing, web and mobile platform testing, as well as functional and regression testing.
• Experience in performance testing, system performance analysis, bottleneck identification, and evaluation of system resilience under high load conditions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to establish effective collaboration within the team. 
• Understanding and ability to use tools such as requirements tracking matrix, test plan, test strategy…
• Ability to identify and resolve technical and organizational issues in testing processes, with strong analytical thinking.

Responsibilities:

• Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Professional Services, and Customer Success to ensure new test cases are entered into systems and customer lifecycle workflows are understood.
• Using TestRail, RedMine, Jira, and Confluence, create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools (JS, TestCafe, GitLab CI).
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Participate in sprint cycles for major and minor release goals.
• Follow standard operating procedures established by departments.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in manual testing.
• 2+ years of experience in test automation (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test documentation.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Experience with performance and/or security testing tools (JMeter, DigitalOcean, ZAP) is a plus.
• Experience with our current technology stack is a bonus: Ruby on Rails, AngularJS, Git, Postgres, RSpec, and Jasmine.
• Shipping/transportation industry experience is a bonus.
