We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager who doesn’t just ship features—but rethinks how HR software should serve people at work in the modern world.

This is a highly visible, high-impact role at the heart of our product strategy. You’ll take full ownership of a core area of the PeopleForce platform and be responsible for shaping it into something truly exceptional.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Own the product vision and strategy for a major pillar of the PeopleForce platform — balancing user needs, business goals, and long-term differentiation
• Take full accountability for outcomes — not just shipping features, but driving real customer and business impact
• Champion a high-quality, coherent product experience that reflects great taste, sound judgment, and an understanding of the entire user journey
• Partner with design, engineering, and data teams to build intuitive, scalable solutions — grounded in deep insight and thoughtful tradeoffs
• Drive growth across the product lifecycle — activation, engagement, retention, and expansion — with a keen eye on data and customer behavior
• Engage cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to inform product decisions and support successful go-to-market execution
• Lead with critical thinking — ask better questions, interrogate assumptions, and pursue the root cause

• Stay informed on market trends, emerging technologies, and HR practices

🧠 Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, including ownership of strategic product areas
• A strong technical foundation — comfortable engaging in architecture discussions, API design, and data modeling
• Demonstrated ability to think holistically about the product experience
• Clear, structured thinker with a bias toward clarity, simplicity, and sharp decision-making
• Track record of leading cross-functional initiatives and delivering measurable growth
• Strong sense of product quality and taste
• Exceptional communication skills — ability to align teams and inspire action
• Comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-paced, evolving environment

➕ Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building for HR teams or related domains (performance, people ops, time & attendance, compensation)
• Background in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field

Main Responsibilities

– Participate in the design, implementation, and maintenance of server-side code for web applications and services, ensuring it is efficient, scalable, and secure

– Design and manage databases, including schema design and improvements, query optimization, and ensuring data integrity and security

– Develop and maintain integrations between different parts of the system and with external services, ensuring robustness and clear documentation

– Ensure code is developed with a comprehensive understanding of deployment procedures and how it will function within the overall project scope

– Implement and maintain comprehensive test coverage to ensure the reliability and stability of the codebase

– Regularly maintain and refactor the codebase to address issues, improve performance, and manage technical debt

– Work closely with a geographically distributed team of engineers, QA, UI/UX designers, and PMs to ensure seamless integration, align on project goals, and collaboratively address technical challenges

– Actively participate in regular internal team meetings and company-wide meetings to stay aligned with project goals, share updates, and contribute to broader organizational challenges

– Implement and adhere to security best practices to protect against common vulnerabilities and ensure the safety of the application and its data

Mandatory Requirements

– 4+ years of experience in commercial software development

– Experience with the Go programming language (or any other similar), including its syntax, standard library, and best practices for writing efficient, clean, and maintainable code

– Experience with relational databases, including writing and optimizing SQL queries, designing schemas, and managing migrations

– Basic understanding in containerizing applications using Docker and managing Dockerfiles

– Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automating build, test, and deployment processes, and familiarity with tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions

– Proficiency in Git for version control, including branching, merging, pull requests, and code review practices

– Proficiency in testing and debugging, including writing unit and integration tests

– Ability to design and implement scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs, with a strong emphasis on security best practices (e.g., OWASP Top 10)

– Analytical and problem-solving abilities to address technical challenges and optimize existing systems

– Strong communication and documentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Will be a plus

– Understanding of concurrency models, goroutines, channels, and parallelism

– Familiarity with additional database technologies like Cassandra, Redis, or Elasticsearch can be beneficial for handling diverse data storage and retrieval needs

– Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, including deployment, scaling, and managing services

– Experience with GraphQL, which can complement RESTful API skills

– Experience with message brokers can be useful for managing asynchronous communication in distributed systems

– Familiarity with Ruby on Rails since we have an internal project using this framework

Project Description:

We are hiring Senior Engineers for a strategic enterprise cloud data infrastructure project focused on expanding and improving the Managed Kafka Connect ecosystem.

The team is responsible for accelerating onboarding and productionization of first-party Kafka connectors for a large-scale managed streaming platform. Engineers will work on high-scale distributed data infrastructure, connector reliability, cloud integrations, CDC systems, and operational readiness.

Planned connectors include:

• Apache Iceberg Sink
• Debezium MySQL Source
• Debezium MongoDB Source
• SQL Server CDC Source
• Spanner CDC Source
• BigTable Sink
• BigQuery Sink improvements

The project includes:

• OSS connector integration
• Performance optimization

Responsibilities:

• Integrate and productionize Kafka Connect connectors
• Improve performance, scalability, and reliability of distributed data systems
• Optimize JVM applications and troubleshoot bottlenecks/OOM issues
• Work with Kafka Connect internals and connector lifecycle
• Implement cloud authentication and networking integrations
• Participate in operational readiness activities:
  • Load testing
  • Probers
  • Playbooks
  • Launch reviews
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams
• Contribute to backend services written in Java and partially Go

Requirements:

Must Have:

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience
• Strong Java / JVM expertise
• Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and Kafka Connect
• Experience debugging production infrastructure issues
• Experience with build systems and dependency management
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably GCP)
• Upper-Intermediate+ English
