ElevateOS has been improving the resident experience for over seven years. We created a single, all-in-one platform that makes it easy for property managers and resident staff to work together. Our goal is simple: to provide the best experience for residents by replacing multiple, confusing apps with one easy solution.

This is a stable, long-term project that continues to grow, and you'll have the chance to be part of its ongoing success.

Our primary technology stack revolves around JavaScript. We use React for the front-end, Node.js for the back-end, and React Native for mobile development.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Backend Node.js Developer to design and build scalable, high-performance back-end systems. You'll own RESTful API development, integrate with third-party services, and collaborate with Product, UI/UX, QA, and Front-end teams to deliver reliable, well-tested code across the full development lifecycle — from architecture to deployment.

Requirements:

- 5+ years of development experience with Node.js;

- Practical knowledge of VanillaJS, Typescript, Express-like framework;

- Hands-on experience creating robust RESTful API’s and designing scalable back-end architecture;

- Proficiency with relational DB;

- Experience with integration with 3rd party REST and SOAP API's;

- Good knowledge of GIT;

- Experience delivering projects, using modern tools like CircleCI, Docker, Kubernetes and navigating through different environments like AWS, GCP.

- Good understanding of ECMAScript specifications;

- Proficient in the English language.

Additional (good-to-have) skills:

- Experience with MySQL, nginx, Stripe, Twilio, Redis

- Experience working in a product company rather than outsourcing.

What will your responsibilities include?

- Creating first-class back-end systems by writing clear, sustainable and well-tested code;

- Improving performance and refactoring existing code;

- Cooperating with the Product, UI/UX, QA and Front-end teams to fulfil project goals;

- Configure project environments and deployment procedures;

- Bugfix during the development process;

- Cover your code with unit tests;

- Write documentation.

ElevateOS integrates with 20+ smart-device ecosystems — keyless entry, locks, cameras, switches, thermostats. Every integration is validated against physical hardware before release. We're hiring the person who owns that entire pipeline: the device lab itself, the test environments and servers behind it, and the integration testing that runs on top.

Who we need: someone technical who can host and run a physical device lab from their home in Kraków — smart locks, cameras, access-control hardware — and also handle the server/networking side so our developers can remotely connect to and test against that hardware.

You'll build and run your own hardware lab — smart locks, cameras, access control systems, and the servers and test environments behind them. Every device integration we ship passes through your hands before it reaches production, and you'll work directly with the development team and CTO with real autonomy: you decide how the lab, its environments, and its tooling evolve. The role spans mobile, backend, networking, and physical hardware — a breadth almost no single position offers. What you'll own:

- The physical device lab — smart locks, access-control hardware, cameras, switches — hosted at your home in Kraków. Setup, configuration, firmware updates, troubleshooting, and inventory.

- Test environments and servers — install, configure, and maintain the local and staging environments our integrations run against; adjust configurations live during debugging sessions with developers.

- Lab networking — device connectivity (Wi-Fi, BLE, Zigbee/Z-Wave), router and network configuration, and remote access so the dev team can reach devices and environments from anywhere.

- Integration testing — install iOS/Android builds, run end-to-end tests against physical devices, API testing, reproduce and isolate bugs, verify fixes with the team.

- Documentation — device matrix, environment runbooks, test protocols, and findings.

Requirements:

- Based in or near Kraków — the hardware lives with you; the work is otherwise remote.

- Solid Linux and networking fundamentals: comfortable in a terminal with SSH and logs, and with DNS/DHCP/port-level debugging.

- Experience setting up and maintaining servers or local test environments (Node.js ecosystem and Docker familiarity as a plus).

- Hands-on comfort with hardware, physical devices and space at home to host the lab.

- Able to read code (JavaScript/TypeScript), work with APIs (curl, Postman), and read mobile logs.

- Commercial experience (2+y) in a technical role — engineering, QA, sysadmin/devops, technical support.

- Strong troubleshooting instincts and good English communication.

Nice to have:

Exposure to React Native, Kotlin, or Swift; mobile SDK integrations.

Familiarity with smart locks, access control, or keyless entry ecosystems.

MQTT, webhooks, RTSP/video streaming.

Test automation experience; CI/CD (GitHub Actions).

Practical details:

Company hardware is currently distributed across two locations in Kraków and will be consolidated with you during onboarding.

Occasional in-person device handoffs in Kraków.

About the role 
As a Customer Care Agent at ElevateOS, you'll be the first point of contact for residents and property staff using our platform — helping them with account questions, service bookings, billing and general how-to support. You'll be the friendly, reassuring voice that turns a question or concern into a great experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to building residents and members of the property management team via email or chat in a professional and timely manner.
• Assist users with account setup or with signing in to the platform; service bookings; billing questions and general platform navigation.
• Provide clear guidance and advice to users on how to use the ElevateOS service effectively. 
• Identify issues, prioritize and escalate them to the appropriate team (customer success, technical support, product team). 
• Follow up with residents to confirm issues are fully resolved and satisfaction is achieved. 
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ElevateOS features, service offerings, and policies. 
• Basic functionality testing of product functionalities.
• Report bugs and possible product improvements. 
• Contribute to and help maintain the internal knowledge base / FAQ content.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software customer service. 
• Excellent written communication skills (English Upper-Intermediate B2). 
• Comfortable multitasking across email and chat channels. 
• Experience with CRM and ticketing systems like Zendesk/HubSpot.
• Experience in writing basic how-to instructions and articles. 
• Basic troubleshooting and functionality testing skills. 
• Analytical approach to navigating, investigating, and understanding how products work. 
• Experience in supporting Web services or/and mobile applications.

Working hours

EU-based - 1 PM - 9 PM EET/EEST (+- 1 hour)
