• Manual and automated testing of a mobile hybrid application
• Maintaining and expanding the existing automation test suite (TypeScript/Appium)

PROJECT

Customer: Growing SaaS startup based in Australia.

Type: Fintech / management SaaS application.

Product: A platform that helps businesses manage operations and workflows. The product is actively growing and has a significant user base. 

Stage: Growing startup.

Project team: Cross-functional team including backend, QA, and client-side stakeholders (CEO, CTO). The QA team currently consists of 1 QA engineer; you'll be the second.

Technical stack: TypeScript, Appium, Mobile Proxy, DynamoDB, CLI, OpenClaw (AI agent platform integrated with Jira and CI environments)

Work schedule: Full-time, fully remote. Working hours overlap with Australian time zone — expect early morning standups (from ~9:00 AM Kyiv time).

• Тестування симуляції: ручне, функціональне та інтеграційне тестування Unreal Engine симуляції — сцен, сценаріїв, камер, поведінки об'єктів, фізичних моделей, level streaming та API-взаємодії.
• Регресійне тестування: підготовка, запуск і перевірка тестових сценаріїв для валідації стабільності, повторюваності та коректності симуляції після змін у сценах, логіці, фізиці, інтеграціях або білді.
• Валідація середовища: виявлення flaky tests, регресій, нестабільної поведінки, performance degradation та проблем із repeatability.
• Робота з метриками: фіксація та аналіз базових метрик якості симуляції — FPS, frame time, latency spikes, jitter, crash rate, run status, scenario result, стабільність запусків та деградація продуктивності.
• Дефект-менеджмент: виявлення, опис, пріоритизація та трекінг дефектів у Jira. Взаємодія з інженерними командами для відтворення проблем, перевірки фіксів і контролю якості змін.
• Документування: підготовка test cases, checklists, regression packs, описів сценаріїв перевірки, known issues та статусу якості перед релізами, демо або інтеграційними перевірками.

• 2+ роки досвіду в QA. Досвід тестування складних технічних продуктів: ігрові рушії, симулятори, robotics, embedded, autonomy, computer vision або hardware-related software.
• Розуміння базових принципів Unreal Engine або готовність швидко зануритись в UE-based середовище. 
• Досвід роботи з Jira / Confluence / Notion або подібними інструментами. 
• Вміння чітко описувати проблеми: steps to reproduce, expected / actual result, logs, screenshots, video, build version. 
• Уважність до деталей, структурний підхід і здатність доводити проблему до зрозумілого engineering-level опису.
• Здатність працювати автономно та брати відповідальність за якість закріпленого функціоналу.

• Досвід з Unreal Engine 4/5. Досвід тестування симуляторів, ігор, 3D-сцен або real-time applications. 
• Базові знання Python для автоматизації тестів або обробки логів. 
• Розуміння performance testing: FPS, frame time, CPU/GPU profiling, latency, jitter. 
• Досвід з automation / regression testing. 
• Розуміння drone / robotics / autonomy domain. Досвід роботи з CV, synthetic data, physics simulation або hardware-in-the-loop / software-in-the-loop testing. 
• Досвід у defense, aerospace, robotics або miltech.

Requirements:

Experience with backend testing

Networking L3-L4

3+ years of manual testing experience

Upper-intermediate level of spoken and written English

BS degree in Computer Science or related engineering degree

Major plus:

Networking L2, CCNA/HCNA certification

Experience embedded firmware testing

Automation testing experience

Experience on Linux platforms

Responsibilities:

Regression, exploratory, issues verification testing;

MQA lab setups maintaining;

Take part in test planning and estimation;

Manual testing — 90%, Automation — 10%

Candidate needs to be in Kyiv (or consider relocation). Hybrid type of work.
