We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer for long-term contract work to join one of our client’s Development Product Teams. You will join a Web Development and API Team responsible for integrations with company internal systems like Sharepoint, Salesforce, Zendesk, and others.

This position may require working between the hours 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM Kyiv time. 

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and maintain backend services and APIs using .NET (C#) and microservices patterns.
• Develop responsive frontend applications using React; maintain component library with Storybook and integrate with CMS.
• Design and optimize relational database schemas and queries (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
• Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure in Azure (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions, Terraform, etc.).

Requirements:

• 8+ years of professional experience in web application development; proven senior-level capability.
• Strong proficiency in .NET (C#) for building APIs and services.
• Solid experience in React, including hooks and modern state management patterns.
• Practical experience with Azure services (App Services, AKS, Functions, Storage, Key Vault, etc.) and CI/CD.

What you need

• Java — deep, production-level. JVM tuning, GC behavior, concurrency, data structure choices at 50k events/sec.
• Postgres — migrations, indexing, connection pooling, replication. Not just SELECT.
• Redis — beyond caching. Pub/sub, sorted sets.
• Kafka — topic design, consumer groups, backpressure, exactly-once semantics.
• Flink (strong plus) — stateful processing, windowing, checkpointing. Spark Streaming / Kafka Streams also counts.
• ClickHouse or Neo4j — working knowledge of at least one. Ideally both.

• LLM integration — inference APIs in production. Token limits, latency, retries, cost control.

• Project Description:

  The Carbon Capture Platform is designed to support the verification and management of CO₂ sequestration data from Carbon Capture and Storage operations. The system processes operational monitoring data, generates verifiable records, and enables the creation of digital tokens representing stored CO2.
  At the beginning of the engagement, the team will analyze the existing platform, including reviewing the architecture, evaluating the current codebase, and identifying technical issues, gaps, and potential risks.
  Based on this assessment, the team will work on resolving identified problems, improving system stability and scalability, and implementing required enhancements. The team will also continue development of new features and support onboarding of new customers, including integration with external data sources such as SCADA systems.
  The overall goal of the engagement is to ensure reliable operation of the platform, support its further development, and enable efficient integration of new users and data sources.

   

• Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the existing backend architecture and codebase to identify technical debt, performance issues, and design limitations
  • Support the team in evaluating the current data model, APIs, and data processing logic
  • Implement improvements to backend services to address identified architectural or performance issues
  • Develop and maintain backend APIs supporting data ingestion, system operations, and platform integrations
  • Implement new features and enhancements requested by the customer

About the role

You will be a Core Developer in our product team, taking charge of developing and scaling our mobile product. This is a high-impact position where you’ll be involved in the entire product lifecycle: from building core product features and modern UIs to designing a reliable, fast, and efficient infrastructure around it. You’ll work directly day-to-day with the General Manager and have a clear, measurable impact on the product’s unit economics.

• Hands-on experience building backend (Node.js and Lambda preferred). We value any strong backend background; if you haven’t used our specific stack, we expect you to bridge the gap using AI tools and a high “speed of learning” to ship production-ready code.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, build, and maintain mobile app and its infra using Flutter and a Node.js backend. Develop and optimize web-frontend (marketing funnels).
• Leverage AI tools (Cursor, Copilot, etc.) to accelerate development, refactor code, and maintain high code quality.
• Take an active role in product management: monitoring how users interact with your features and identifying areas for improvement. You will analyze user flow through marketing funnels, identifying drop-off points and technical bottlenecks that affect conversion. You won’t just wait for tasks; you’ll proactively suggest tech improvements based on data insights.
• Design and implement A/B tests to validate hypotheses, working closely with the product team to optimize core metrics.
• Build a robust, scalable infrastructure.
• Work directly with the General Manager and marketing team to align engineering efforts with business growth and scalability.
