Our client is a high-tech FinTech product company building payment infrastructure that connects traders (liquidity providers) and merchants (liquidity buyers) within a single ecosystem.

Our platform ensures stable, uninterrupted 24/7 transaction processing, transforming complex and fragmented P2P flows into manageable and predictable financial infrastructure.

For our clients, the key value lies not only in financial terms, but above all in system stability, transaction processing speed, and the minimization of operational risks.

As the company continues to scale and expand into new markets, we are looking for a Launcher / Founding Country GM to launch a new geography from scratch, build the local supply and operational infrastructure, and ultimately take ownership of the market as an independent P&L.

What we expect from you:

• Proven experience launching a new market, country, or business unit from scratch to measurable results;
• genuine zero-to-one experience: you personally sourced partners, led negotiations, and closed the first deals;
• experience building a partner / supply network or another side of a two-sided marketplace;
• experience hiring the first local team and building operational processes from the ground up;
• strong commercial and operational thinking, with a solid understanding of unit economics, business metrics, and P&L;
• an entrepreneurial mindset, high degree of autonomy, and ability to operate without an established structure or predefined roadmap;

• ability to make fast decisions and take ownership of results in a dynamic, high-risk environment.

Nice to have:

• Experience in payments / PSP, FinTech, iGaming, alternative payment methods, banking partnerships, or marketplace businesses;

• experience launching new markets or building supply networks at companies such as Uber, Bolt, Glovo, Careem, inDrive, or other businesses with a similar marketplace model.

Key responsibilities:

• Launch a new geography from scratch: personally lead the first 20–30 negotiations, onboard the first traders and payment partners, build the local supply network, and launch the first payment corridor;
• independently hire the first 3–5 employees, including participating in the search for a Head of Supply, and gradually build the local operations and supply teams;
• work closely with the HQ R&D team to adapt the platform to local payment infrastructure, test solutions, and ensure stable product operations;
• build a 24/7 operating model, including pay-in / payout processes, SLAs, escalations, partner communication, and on-call coverage;
• take ownership of the geography’s unit economics and P&L, managing volumes, margins, and costs while driving the market toward break-even;
• within 6–12 months, validate the market’s potential and path to profitability — or provide a well-supported recommendation to close the geography;

• following a successful launch, scale the geography as an independent business unit, with the potential to grow the team to approximately 150–250 people within 2–3 years.

What we offer:

• Competitive compensation + milestone-based bonuses and a share of the geography’s profits;
• fully remote, full-time role with no relocation required;
• direct reporting to the Founder and a high level of autonomy;
• a proven playbook, platform, existing clients, budget, and HQ support to launch the market;
• phantom equity / profit-sharing tied to the geography’s performance;
• the opportunity to build your own team and develop the market as an independent business unit;

• a completion bonus even if market validation results in a decision to close the geography.

If you have personally launched a market or business from scratch, closed the first partnerships yourself, and enjoy turning an unexplored geography into a fully functioning business, we would be happy to connect and discuss the opportunity.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a practical, AI-first backend engineer who uses Claude to accelerate implementation, explore solutions, debug issues, and improve code quality without blindly relying on generated code.

You enjoy building backend systems that connect external APIs, process financial data, and interact with blockchain infrastructure. You understand the importance of security, reliability, and proper error handling when working with payment systems and on-chain transactions.

You’re comfortable working in a lean team, making technical decisions, and delivering straightforward solutions without unnecessary complexity. A passion for developer platforms and making API integrations easier for other developers is a strong advantage.

What We Offer

• The opportunity to build a product at the intersection of international payments, crypto, and blockchain.
• An AI-first development environment with tools such as Claude.
• A lean team, direct communication, and technical ownership.
• The opportunity to work on real-world payment integrations and crypto infrastructure.

If you enjoy backend engineering, API integrations, blockchain technology, and AI-assisted development, we’d love to hear from you.
