We are expanding our Technical Support team and are looking for a highly experienced Technical Support Engineer (L3-L4) to join a long-term enterprise project in the energy sector.

You will be working on a mature enterprise project in the energy sector in Northern Ireland, where the system has been in production. This is an existing client, and the focus is on advanced support, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

The environment is highly regulated, making system reliability and billing accuracy critical.

End customers actively use the system, so we have real data, real financial flows, and real impact from every issue.

Support here is not a “ticket-processing role” – it is a core function ensuring system stability, revenue continuity, and customer trust.

Responsibilities:

• Provide L3–L4 support for a live enterprise billing & CRM system
• Investigate and resolve complex production issues (data, logic, integrations)
• Work closely with customers (in English) to clarify issues and provide solutions
• Analyze logs, database records, and system behavior to identify root causes
• Support billing, invoicing, rating, and customer lifecycle processes
• Collaborate with development, QA, and delivery teams on issue resolution
• Participate in post-release stabilization and continuous system improvements
• Contribute to knowledge base and documentation

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in technical support (L3/L4 level) or similar roles
• Strong hands-on experience with production troubleshooting

• Build the Dispute module: collect data from payment systems and make it clear for clients
• Launch the Representment module: create interfaces and APIs for merchants to upload evidence and push it to the Schemes
• Integrate with global payment giants: Stripe, Adyen, PayPal
• Roll out new products with Mastercard, Visa, AMEX

• Develop the financial backbone: invoicing, billing, reconciliation at scale

You’ll join the Billing team and take ownership of the Taxes module — a core part of our billing system responsible for tax calculation and reporting across multiple locations.

The product has already moved beyond MVP and is actively used by customers. The foundational logic is in place, demand is high, and the next step is scaling functionality and reliability.

This role is exciting because you’re not maintaining legacy code — you’re building and shaping a critical system almost from scratch. 
You will have a clear path to Lead: full ownership of the Taxes direction, architectural decisions, and growing a team around it.

Your team — Product Owner, 1 Senior Engineer, Automation QA, and Tax Manager.
