We are looking for a Python Developer (Odoo) to join an international telecommunications company operating one of Europe’s largest private fiber-optic networks, connecting businesses across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
 

In this role, you’ll contribute to the development and evolution of the company’s internal ERP ecosystem based on Odoo. You’ll work on backend development, business process automation, system integrations, and ERP customization, collaborating with business stakeholders and engineering teams to build scalable internal solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend functionality using Python
• Customize and extend Odoo modules to support business requirements
• Build integrations between Odoo and internal or third-party systems using APIs

• Optimize PostgreSQL queries and improve application performance
• Participate in system upgrades, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the ERP platform

Requirements

• 4+ years of commercial Python development experience
• Experience with Odoo development or customization
• Experience working with JavaScript in Odoo or other web applications
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL
• Experience building REST APIs and integrations
• Understanding of OOP principles and software design patterns
• Ability to work independently in a distributed international team
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency

What You'll Do

• Conduct live technical interviews with software engineering candidates worldwide via the platform.
• Assess coding skills, problem-solving abilities, technical knowledge, and communication while creating a professional and inclusive candidate experience.
• Provide structured, objective feedback based on established evaluation criteria to reduce bias and improve hiring quality.

• Collaborate with the client’s team to test, refine, and improve interview content, processes, and platform features.

   

Must Have

• 4+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer/Developer.
• Strong Python proficiency
• Working knowledge of frontend technologies (JavaScript, React, or similar).
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software engineering fundamentals.
• Excellent English communication skills (spoken and written).
• Professional demeanor, ability to deliver objective assessments, and reliable setup (webcam, microphone, stable internet).

• Prior experience conducting technical interviews (DS&A, system design).

About the project

Our client is a product company building an AI-driven trading and investing platform that covers equities, futures, forex and crypto. The team develops systematic strategies, portfolio models, copy-trading products and low-latency execution infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Research, build and maintain systematic trading strategies
• Develop backtesting, optimization and portfolio-construction frameworks
• Run walk-forward analysis, Monte Carlo simulations and other robustness checks
• Work with market data across equities, futures, forex and crypto
• Bring ML models into the research and signal-generation pipeline
• Move research into live trading together with the Java execution and platform teams

• Track live strategy performance and improve risk-adjusted returns

   

Requirements

• 5+ years of production Python development
• Strong command of Pandas, Polars, NumPy
• Hands-on experience with at least one backtesting framework — VectorBT, Backtrader or QuantConnect LEAN
• Solid statistics and quantitative finance background
• Practical experience with portfolio optimization and risk management
• Trading experience in at least one asset class: futures, forex, equities or crypto
• PostgreSQL / TimescaleDB, cloud environments
