The Role:

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Administer, monitor, maintain, and optimize our AWS Aurora MySQL database clusters (including Provisioned and Serverless instances).
• Manage database infrastructure using the AWS RDS console, CLI, and APIs.
• Perform proactive and reactive performance tuning, including query optimization, indexing strategies, and configuration adjustments (parameter groups).
• Implement, test, and manage robust backup, recovery (including point-in-time recovery), and high-availability strategies specific to Aurora MySQL.

• Develop scripts (primarily Python) for automating routine database tasks, monitoring, and alerting.

Required Qualifications:
 

• Proven experience working as a Senior Database Administrator, with a strong focus on managing MySQL and/or AWS Aurora MySQL environments in production.
• Advanced expertise in SQL, specifically within the MySQL/Aurora dialect.
• Deep understanding and hands-on experience with AWS RDS and the specific features, capabilities, and limitations of Aurora MySQL (Provisioned and Serverless).
• Demonstrable experience in performance tuning, optimization (query analysis, indexing, caching), high availability configurations, and backup/recovery techniques for MySQL/Aurora.
• Strong familiarity with microservices architecture principles.

What will be your responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Build APIs that are robust, scalable, and well-documented.
• Consistently write clean, understandable code using Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Integrate and consume events from messaging queues such as Kafka effectively.
• Implement asynchronous execution strategies to improve application performance and scalability.
• Adhere to coding principles such as KISS, SOLID, and DRY.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define and refine project scopes.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing codebases for improved efficiency and performance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.

What we expect from you:

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar position;

Responsibilities: 

• Develop, implement, and maintain documentation for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) and Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS). 
• Conduct and support Business Impact Analysis (BIA) for the organization's key processes. 
• Perform risk assessments for processes, assets, and projects. 
• Develop, maintain, and periodically test Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP). 
• Participate in the implementation of compliance requirements aligned with ISO 27001, ISO 22301, and other relevant standards. 
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and actively participate in audit activities. 
• Deliver employee training sessions related to Information Security and Business Continuity policies. 

Requirements: 

• 4+ years of experience in information security or business continuity domains. 
• Practical experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining ISMS and BCMS policies, procedures, and standards. 
• Strong knowledge of ISO 27001, ISO 22301, and other related frameworks.
