Responsibilities

• Lead by example: provide technical leadership and expertise within the field of Quality Assurance, Testing and Automation, conducting training and workshops
• Work as a Senior AQA and/or QA Team lead (Automation and Manual processes, depending on the project needs) on the project, including setting up and maintaining QA and AQA processes from scratch and leading the team of subordinates

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Automation Backend Engineer to join our team in Poland. This role is heavily focused on API testing (85%) with UI testing (15%) and requires strong expertise in Python and test automation. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks while ensuring the scalability and efficiency of our testing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Automation Strategy & Test Framework Development:

• Design and implement an automation testing strategy from scratch.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain test automation frameworks for API and UI testing.
• Ensure scalability and reusability of automation solutions across multiple projects.

Test Development & Execution:

• API Testing: Develop automated API tests using Python (must) and Request Module package.
• UI Testing: Build and maintain UI test cases using Playwright.
• Create and execute automated test scripts to validate functionality, performance, and security.
• Work with Jenkins for CI/CD automation and integrate tests into pipelines.

Continuous Integration & Deployment:

• Integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipelines, ensuring robust test coverage and automated reporting.
• Work closely with DevOps to manage test execution environments using Docker, Kubernetes.

Collaboration & Documentation:

• Writing test strategy and test plans
• Work cross-functionally with developers, QA, and DevOps teams to optimize the test process.
• Use Jira for documentation, task tracking, and bug reporting.
• Manage test cases in Xray (optional).
• Analyze logs and debug test failures in staging and production environments.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

✅ Must-Have:

• 5+ years of experience in test automation or a related role.
• Strong programming skills in Python (mandatory).
• Experience in writing tests documentation such as: design documents, test strategies and test plans.
• Extensive experience (85%) in API testing using Request Module.
• UI testing experience (15%) using Playwright.
• Hands-on experience with postman
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins preferred).
• Experience working with Docker & Kubernetes for test automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Jira for task and bug management.
• Task-oriented, independent, and proactive mindset.

We are looking for a proficient QA with a skill set encompassing both manual and automation testing, who will ensure the quality and reliability of our off-the-shelf applications. 

Please note that we work according to a hybrid way of work with the office in Kyiv. Full remote work is not possible. The contract will be for one year.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated tests for different types of applications;
• Create clear and structured test cases and test plans based on business requirements and acceptance criteria;
• Perform manual testing of application workflows;
  • Carry out various types of testing, including acceptance, regression, and integration testing (both manual and automated);
  • Log issues found during testing and verify fixes once resolved by the development teams;
• Write and update test documentation following internal guidelines and QA processes;
• Participate in early validation of tasks during development to detect issues early and improve the quality of delivery.

Requirements

• Practical experience in test automation; manual testing 15%-20%;
• Hands-on experience in testing web applications, both manually and through automation;
• Experience in testing RESTful APIs;
• Good working knowledge of C# for test automation;
• Clear understanding of QA principles, testing techniques, and software quality standards;
• Experience with black-box testing and understanding of end-to-end testing scenarios;
• Ability to communicate clearly within a distributed team and participate in discussions about requirements and implementation;
• Good written and spoken English skills.

Will be a plus:

• Experience using Postman or similar tools for API testing;
• Familiarity with business applications such as Microsoft Finance and Operations, Salesforce, Boomi;
• Basic knowledge of SQL for database-related testing needs;
• ISTQB certification.

• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing;
