    We are looking for a skilled and proactive Lead Backend Engineer to take technical ownership of our backend systems. You will lead the development of a new gaming platform from scratch, define architecture and best practices, mentor the backend team, and ensure a smooth migration from a legacy system to a scalable microservices-based infrastructure. This role involves close collaboration with DevOps, security, and product teams, as well as integration with third-party services and payment providers.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers, fostering best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment
    • Design and develop a new gaming platform architecture based on NodeJS and microservices
    • Oversee the gradual migration of legacy platform components to the new infrastructure
    • Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD automation, system monitoring, and observability
    • Ensure system scalability, security, and high availability in collaboration with DevOps and security teams
    • Integrate third-party APIs and payment solutions, manage technical risks and edge cases
    • Participate in technical planning, code reviews, and decision-making processes

    Your Background:

    • 5+ years of backend software development experience, including 1–2 years in a lead or senior role
    • Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and NodeJS
    • Solid commercial experience with NestJS framework
    • Hands-on experience in launching products from the ground up, including CI/CD pipeline setup
    • Proficient in writing unit and E2E tests using Jest/Mocha/Nock
    • Deep understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases and data migration strategies
    • Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka
    • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally

    • Responsibilities:

      Metadata Management
      • Lead onboarding of data providers onto the Data Highway platform
      • Manage the complete onboarding process (end to end) of data dictionaries and related datasets related to the assigned applications
