We are looking for a Middle Backend Developer to join our team to work on a long-term project for a well-known iGaming company β Virtual Gaming Worlds.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of development experience with TypeScript;
- Proven experience developing slot game engines or other real-money gambling systems;
- Solid understanding of slot mechanics and math-based game architecture;
- Strong grasp of system design, performance optimization, and high-load architecture;
- Experience integrating RNG systems and implementing outcome resolution logic;
- Familiarity with Git and CI/CD workflows;
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills;
- Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and attention to quality;
- English proficiency: Intermediate or higher.
Will be a plus:
- Experience using functional programming style in JavaScript/TypeScript and understanding of core FP concepts;
- Familiarity with statistical validation of game models (RTP testing, volatility balancing).
Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and scale server-side game logic using Node.js and TypeScript, ensuring a clean and maintainable codebase;
- Develop slot game mechanics (e.g. paylines, wilds, scatters, multipliers, free spins, respins) according to mathematical and functional specifications;
- Integrate and manage RNG engines and implement math resolution logic for each game round;
- Collaborate closely with mathematicians, game designers, client developers, and artists to deliver seamless, high-performance games;
- Write clean, efficient, secure, and testable code;
