Junior Java / TypeScript Game Developer

We are looking for a Junior Developer to join our team at our Kyiv office near Odeska Square and work on an international gambling / iGaming project.

About the Project

You will develop and maintain HTML5 slot games for a major international entertainment provider, using PixiJS and WebGL. Features include reels, spin mechanics, win animations, Spine animations, and visual effects.

You will work alongside a team lead, a mentor, and fellow developers.

Responsibilities

• Develop HTML5 slot game features using TypeScript and Java.
• Work with PixiJS/WebGL game mechanics, visual effects, and Spine animations.
• Investigate and fix bugs based on Jira tasks.
• Optimize rendering performance and memory usage using Chrome DevTools and profiling tools.
• Test games on desktop and mobile devices, including iOS.
• Use Git and pull requests, and participate in code reviews.
• Coordinate task progress, estimates, and priorities with your team lead and mentor.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Java and TypeScript.
• Understanding of OOP and basic data structures.
• Basic knowledge of Canvas/WebGL or a willingness to learn.
