Own end-to-end testing for an FDA-regulated Android application in diabetes care. You will design risk-based tests, automate critical user flows, and ship compliant, high-quality releases for global markets. Work closely with Android developers, QA, Product, and Regulatory as a senior individual contributor.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years in software testing, including mobile; 2+ years focused on Android.

About the Team and Role

You'll join the Core team — the team responsible for the services that sit at the heart of Solidgate's payment processing. Core services define what a payment is, integrate with numerous internal services for correct routing, run antifraud checks, and process payments through providers, covering card payments as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. This is the critical path for every payment on the platform, so the team's work directly defines the reliability and speed of the whole system.

The team is actively growing new functionality, supporting existing services, working down technical debt, and maintaining an SLO of 99.99%+ across all of its services. The stack is built around high-load, low-latency requirements: a microservices architecture with Kotlin as the primary language, Protobuf RPC over Buf/Connect, PostgreSQL as the main database, and Kafka for asynchronous processing, with fully automated production deployments and an advanced monitoring and observability setup. Launch Labs is looking for a Middle QA Engineer to join one of our product teams and help ensure the quality, stability, and reliability of its web and mobile applications.

This is a hands-on role combining manual testing with a strong focus on test automation. Approximately 50% or more of your time will be dedicated to automation, with additional opportunities to expand automated coverage during lighter release periods.

The product ecosystem currently includes web and native mobile applications. Our web automation framework is built with Playwright and TypeScript. Mobile automation is still at an early stage, giving you the opportunity to help evaluate suitable tools, shape the automation approach, and contribute to building the initial framework.

You will work closely with developers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle. Beyond identifying defects, you will help improve testing processes, strengthen automation coverage, identify risks early, and promote shared ownership of product quality across the team.

Key Responsibilities 

Team Coordination & People Management: 

• Coordinate the day-to-day work of the network team, ensuring consistent reporting and adherence to processes. 
• Build strong relationships with team members: understand their challenges, recognize their achievements, and keep morale and motivation high. 
• Act as the first point of contact for team issues, escalating when needed. 
• Participate in the interview and selection process for new team members, providing input on fit and readiness for the role. 
• Participate in goal setting, performance review and promotions. 

Customer Relationship & Communication: 

• Serve as the main operational point of contact with the customer, ensuring clear, timely, and professional communication.  
• Actively gather and interpret customer feedback, understand their priorities, tasks, and pain points.  
• Facilitate an open, ongoing dialogue between the team and the customer, ensuring expectations are aligned on both sides. 

Reporting & Operational Oversight: 

• Consolidate and coordinate reporting from the team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.  
• Monitor performance and operational metrics, identify trends, risks, or gaps. 

Collaboration with Senior Management: 

• Flag issues, risks, and roadblocks to senior management proactively, with context and suggested next steps.  
• Propose solutions, process improvements, and new initiatives based on frontline insight and customer feedback.  
• Participate in planning discussions, contributing an on-the-ground perspective to strategic decisions. 

Requirements: 

• Based in or willing to relocate to Buenos Aires, Argentina. 
• Proven experience in team coordination, supervision, or operations roles (telecom/IT operations, or customer-facing teams preferred). 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with both team members and customers. 
• Experience with shift planning and workforce coordination. 
• Comfortable working with reporting tools and consolidating operational data. 
• Fluent in Spanish; professional working proficiency in English (adjust based on customer/company needs). 
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to bring issues to leadership along with proposed solutions. 
• Availability to work hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the Buenos Aires office. 
• Previous experience in the Telecom and/or IT industries will be a huge advantage.
