Senior Java Engineer Dental Segmentation and Geometry

We are looking for a senior Java engineer to take a key technical role in the next phase of our product.

We already have a solid, working codebase built by an experienced team. The system is in production and handles non-trivial 3D workflows, geometric calculations, and integrations with AI-driven services. The current challenge is not code quality, but a shift in product concept and focus.

The original team is no longer available for further development, so we are starting a new MVP phase. The goal is to simplify the product, clarify responsibilities between modules, and reshape the architecture around a strong existing core.

This role is not about fixing broken code or cleaning up chaos.
It is about reading and understanding an existing system, identifying what truly matters, and making deliberate architectural decisions to turn a complex platform into a clean, focused MVP that can evolve further.

A key part of the system is mathematics-heavy logic: geometry, vectors, transformations, 3D measurements, and spatial reasoning. You do not need to be a researcher, but you must be comfortable working close to math, not just REST controllers and CRUD.

You will work directly with the founder and a small senior team. The communication is short, decisions are fast, and your input will directly shape both the technical and product direction.

    What you will work on

    • Understanding and owning a Java-based backend with complex geometric logic
    • Making architectural decisions around existing segmentation and calculation pipelines
    • Simplifying workflows for a new MVP while preserving core capabilities
    • Collaborating with AI and frontend engineers on clear module boundaries
    • Preparing the system for further scaling once the MVP is validated

    What we are looking for

    • Strong senior-level Java experience (backend, not just frameworks)
    • Solid understanding of object-oriented design and system architecture
    • Comfort working with mathematics, geometry, vectors, or 3D-related logic
    • Experience reading and evolving an existing codebase
    • Ability to work independently and discuss trade-offs clearly

    Nice to have

    • Experience with 3D data, graphics pipelines, CAD, medical or engineering software
    • AWS experience (the system runs in AWS)
    • Interest in AI-adjacent systems, even if you are not an ML engineer

This is a role for someone who enjoys thinking, not just implementing tickets, and who wants real influence on how a product is reshaped at a critical moment.

Senior Product Designer - Enterprise SaaS (Systems and Governance) to $6000

    Full Remote Β· Worldwide Β· Product Β· 7 years of experience Β· English - B2

MenuWise is a long-running B2B SaaS platform used by professional kitchens and foodservice operators. We are rebuilding the product with a strong focus on correctness, governance, and long-term system integrity.

This is not a brand, marketing, or consumer UX role.

MenuWise is a New Zealand–based product that has historically grown through direct operator relationships rather than public marketing or social media. We are rebuilding the platform quietly and deliberately before increasing our public presence. This role is about shaping the system itself, not promoting it.

    What we’re looking for

We are looking for a senior product designer who is comfortable working on:

    • dense, data-heavy interfaces
    • constrained workflows
    • enterprise tables and forms
    • products where being correct matters more than being expressive

    Scope & mandate

This is a full-time role with an initial 3-month systems mandate.

During the first 3 months, your focus will be to:

    • define and enforce core design rules
    • establish what must never vary
    • set canonical interaction patterns (view / edit / read-only)
    • bring consistency and safety to complex workflows

Long-term continuation depends on fit and impact.

    What you will do

    • Own system and interaction rules across core product surfaces
    • Design and document canonical patterns for:
      • tables
      • inline editing
      • validation and error handling
      • state transitions
    • Say β€œno” when designs violate correctness or long-term consistency
    • Work closely with engineering on predictable, safe UX
    • Leave the system more constrained and safer than you found it

    What you will not do

    • Brand or marketing design
    • Visual experimentation or expressive UI
    • Colour or typography definition (handled separately)

If you enjoy aesthetic exploration or storytelling-led design, this role will not be satisfying.

    Why this role is difficult

MenuWise is intentionally designed to be constrained.
Success here depends on restraint, systems thinking, and comfort with saying β€œno”.

If you prefer expressive palettes, visual exploration, or marketing-led UX, this role will feel frustrating rather than rewarding.

    What we’re looking for (experience)

    You likely have:

    • 7–12+ years designing SaaS or internal tools
    • experience with enterprise, fintech, ERP, govtech, or regulated systems
    • strong opinions about constraints, invariants, and correctness
    • comfort blocking ideas that feel β€œnice” but are unsafe
    • experience designing tables and workflows, not just screens

    Titles matter less than judgment.

We are looking for a specialist in Computational Geometry, here is the technical brief for our upcoming project.

    1. Project Overview We are migrating our manufacturing workflow from a file-based system (STLs) to a secure "In-Memory Streaming" architecture for FDM/FFF 3D printers

    2. The Architecture

    • Core Engine: Rhino 8 (Grasshopper definition already developed) running headless via Rhino.Inside.

    • Slicing Strategy: We do NOT use external slicers (Cura/Slic3r). The geometry slicing, infill generation (Gyroid/Lattice), and G-code conversion happen entirely within a custom Grasshopper definition.

    • The Application (.NET/WPF): Acts as a wrapper. It sends users parameters to GH, retrieves the generated G-code list (Strings), and streams it to the 3D printer via USB/Serial Port.

    3. Your Role We need you to build the "Bridge" and the Automation logic:

    • Optimize the Grasshopper definition for G-code generation (handling retractions, flow rate, and variable density).
    • Develop the C# Wrapper (Rhino.Inside) that executes this definition without UI.
    • Implement the hardware handshake (printer validation).

    4. Terms & Payments

    • Format: Milestone-based project.
    • Settlement: We facilitate payments via USDT or Bank Transfer, depending on your preference and location constraints.
