Currently, we are looking for a Marketing (Membership) Growth Manager for The Kyiv Independent.

The Kyiv Independent is Ukraine’s main English-language news outlet. Founded in November 2021 by journalists who stood up for editorial independence, they serve as Ukraine’s voice to the world. The membership program is a core pillar of their sustainability, and they are looking for someone to help them scale it further.

What you’ll do

• Support the planning and execution of membership acquisition campaigns.
• Assist with testing and rolling out new acquisition ideas and formats.
• Help manage day-to-day membership operations and ongoing initiatives.
• Track tasks, deadlines, and deliverables across teams (editorial, marketing, product, design).
• Help track acquisition performance and campaign results.
• Prepare basic reports and summaries (funnels, conversion trends, campaign outcomes).
• Act as a coordination point between teams involved in membership initiatives.
• Support internal communication around membership goals, launches, and updates.

What we’re looking for

• 1–3 years of experience in digital marketing, growth, community, media, or operations.
• Strong marketing and project-management skills.
• Comfort working with data, spreadsheets, and basic analytics.
• Ability to execute ideas, follow through, and manage multiple tasks at once.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Level of English - C1 and higher.
• A proactive, hands-on mindset.

Would be a plus

• Experience with membership or subscription products.
• Familiarity with tools like Stripe, CRM systems, or email platforms.
• Experience working in media, startups, or mission-driven organizations.

•  Over 2 years of experience in Dynamics 365 CRM/Customer Engagement (Sales) implementation;

•  Experience in other CE applications (such as Customer Service, Field Service, Marketing) is a plus;

•  Familiarity with Power Platform LowCode/NoCode development (Dataverse tables, simple workflows/cloud flows, BPF, forms, business rules, security role configuration);

•  Basic experience with Power BI & Power Query is an advantage;

•  Certifications in Dynamics 365, Azure, or Power Platform are a plus.

Key responsibilities:

•  Participate in workshops with customers and business analysts to gather requirements;

•  Consult clients on Power Platform implementation and best practices;

•  Design and build low-code/no-code components on Power Platform or enhance existing solutions;

•  Collaborate with Project Management to ensure project stays within scope, budget, and timeline;

•  Participate in User Acceptance Testing;

•  Provide technical and functional support to customers after solution go-live;

•  Contribute to marketing and pre-sales activities.
