The SEM product is embedded within the Geosciences Suite of Applications. This application has multiple views consisting of both 2D and 3D visualizations. The current data visualization is not sufficient for what we would like it to be. This role is expected to work with the lead and the product owner to understand the current shortcomings, investigate and research potential solutions, propose these solutions to the teams, and then work on the implementation of the agreed upon work. • Project Description:

  Join the team modernizing the software delivery process for the Body Controls Organization, focusing on Body Control Module (BCM) and Battery Access Module (BAM) Electronic Control Units (ECUs) within the Fully Networked Vehicle (FNV) architecture. This initiative aims to design, implement, and maintain a robust Level 2 (L2) testing framework using a Virtual ECU (vECU) platform. The framework will automate and continuously improve software validation, ensuring all functional and performance requirements are verified in a virtual environment before hardware deployment. Integration with CI/CD pipelines will deliver continuous feedback on component quality, enabling early defect detection and improved software stability.
   

• Responsibilities:

  - Develop a scalable and modular Virtual ECU Development Studio (VEDS) for BCM and BAM ECUs.
  - Ensure compatibility with existing toolchains and enterprise development environments.
  - Implement co-simulation capabilities for seamless interaction between virtual and physical ECUs.
  - Configure the VEDS environment for L2 testing, including network simulation, signal routing, and diagnostic interfaces.
  - Create and execute detailed L2 test cases aligned with software requirements.

• Work on a mission-critical system that handles complex data synchronization workflows. System stability is paramount—downtime during peak hours leads to significant financial impact.
• Balance legacy and modern code. Help modernize existing Java code while building new features in Kotlin. Refactor legacy code, prune dead code, and gradually improve architecture while keeping the system stable.
• Implement complex business logic using sophisticated rules engines (like GoRules) for pricing logic, data mapping decisions, and business-critical workflows. You’ll participate in market analysis and some business decisions around pricing strategies.
• Optimize performance at scale. Process hundreds of thousands of records with strict rate limits. Identify bottlenecks, optimize database queries, improve API performance, and ensure queues don’t stack up.
• Participate in analytical decisions. While you’re a developer first, you’ll be involved in market analysis, system auditing, and even some business decisions around pricing and data strategies. We value engineers who understand the business impact of their work.
