## The role

100% hands-on. You take a vague business need, turn it into a system that works, and keep it working, owning the why, the build and the test without depending on someone else for the biggest chunk of it.
 

• - Pick up signal fast. Hear one sentence mid-meeting, recognise it carries real information about what the business needs, work out what the speaker actually wants, and go deliver it.
  
  - Own outcomes to completion. We drop you into a project, say "automate this manual customer workflow," and three months later it just works, without anyone directing every detail.
  
  - Own customer satisfaction. If the customer doesn't see the ROI, the software gets thrown out. Everyone here writes down why a feature matters to the customer. Sometimes that lands in a presentation. When it doesn't, it lands in the commit message.

You'll own the flow of incoming requests from our US operations team and our AI tooling into the development team. You decide what's real, what matters, and what gets built, turn the keepers into clear tickets, and are the single point of contact for the people raising requests. We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel focused on product and marketing compliance, data protection, IP, and regulatory compliance in the USA, EU, and UK.

As the SKELAR Legal Risks & Compliance team, we build the foundation that enables our businesses to scale quickly and with minimal risk. We handle compliance in numerous jurisdictions, resolve complex cases, and provide top-level legal partnership.

Your impact

In this role, you will:

• Identify potential risks in consumer protection, data privacy, and IP in tier-1 jurisdictions: the USA, EU, and UK.
• Develop practical legal solutions to protect SKELAR interests and support business objectives.
• Partner with business teams — marketing, product, engineering, finance — to implement comprehensive compliance programs and facilitate informed decision-making.
• Build new and enhance existing legal processes to proactively manage risks.
• Provide support for businesses in regulatory investigations and dispute resolution processes.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and translate them into actionable guidance, training, and compliance initiatives for the business.
• Working directly with senior leadership, you’ll have real ownership from day one.

About you

• 4+ years of experience in local or international top-tier law firms / Big 4 / product or tech companies.
• A degree in law from a Ukrainian or foreign university.
• Fluent English.
• Initiative and willingness to work on a wide variety of legal matters.
• Practical, business-oriented approach and ability to balance legal risk against commercial objectives.
• The ability to think creatively to solve complex legal issues.
• Result-oriented, well-organized, self-starter.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex legal issues in a clear, concise, and pragmatic manner.

Will be a plus

• Expertise in consumer protection laws in the USA and EU: FTC Act, ROSCA, OMNIBUS Directive, etc.
• Understanding of GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection frameworks.
• Expertise advising companies through the life cycle of business operations, including on commercial, compliance, and intellectual property matters
• AI tools practical knowledge and usecases

This role is based at Master of Code Global and is dedicated to Zipify, a Shopify product company formed together with Smart Marketer.

Role Summary

Today, great SEO starts with understanding the business: who the customers are, what problems they are trying to solve, and where they actually look for answers. People discover products through many channels: Google, YouTube, Reddit, catalogs, and increasingly AI answer engines.

We’re looking for an SEO/GEO Specialist for Zipify who thinks beyond traditional SEO. You should believe that visibility is about being present and useful wherever potential customers are making decisions.

This role is open to both strong mid-level and senior specialists. We care less about the number of years you’ve worked in SEO and more about how you approach problems. This role deals with a lot of scattered, partial information, and someone has to make sense of it.

What We Value in a New Master

• Solid SEO experience (mid/senior), ideally in SaaS for English-speaking markets, and can point to real traffic and sign-up growth you helped drive
• A demonstrated habit of digging into data and customer insight before jumping to tactics. Show us an example, don’t just tell us
• Practical knowledge of core SEO tools (GA, Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog) and technical SEO basics
• Experience in GEO/AEO and multi-channel visibility (YouTube, Reddit, reviews etc.)
• Comfortable using AI tools in daily work
• Genuine curiosity about the business and the customer, not only about rankings
• Able to explain SEO/GEO findings and trade-offs clearly to non-SEO stakeholders
• Upper-Intermediate+ English

How You’ll Contribute

• Own SEO/GEO strategy for Zipify’s product portfolio and brand presence
• Build a real understanding of who the customer is and what problem actually brings them to the product, and use that to inform SEO/GEO direction
• Find and use the sources of insight that actually reveal customer language, objections, and unmet needs
• Make sure the product is findable and clearly understood across every channel that matters: Google, LLM/AI answer engines, YouTube, Reddit, reviews, Shopify App Marketplace etc.
• Track changes in AI-driven search and discovery, and continuously adapt our SEO/GEO approach to new user behaviors
• Contribute to the category and content strategy, including demand customers haven’t put into words yet
• Improve website content, structure, and landing pages for visibility, relevance, and user experience
• Perform technical SEO audits and drive fixes with the dev team
• Build, guide and implement the link-building strategy
• Bring AI tools and automation into your own workflow

• Be ready to support the marketing department within other marketing streams, where needed

   

Location: Ukraine / Europe remote

We run an internal data platform behind a talent representation intelligence product that maps out the entertianment industry.
 

We are rebuilding the platform (legacy Symfony/Angular → Django + React) because the current system stores its most valuable data as unstructured text and can't support where the product is going. . This is not a greenfield toy and not a rescue job — it's a planned rebuild with an unusual amount of groundwork already done:

• A product & architecture document with the domain model decided: what each module means, what dies, what changes, and the conventions (append-only history, structured-at-entry, derived-values-never-facts, and more)
• An epic breakdown with dependency order and explicit definitions of done
• A decisions register — every product ruling logged, searchable, current
• Approved feature specs for the major new modules (representation history, deals/endorsements restructure, awards, drafts)
• A migration standard: raw-row archives, legacy-ID mapping, conflict review queues, rehearsed cutover — nothing silently dropped, nothing silently merged
   

Your job is to design and build within that system: propose schemas and migration plans per module (we call these build contracts — you propose, product approves, then you build), stand up the foundation (auth, field-level permissions, API-first architecture), build the cross-cutting primitives (audit log, unified sources, soft delete, lookups), and run a phased legacy migration where reconciliation counts get reviewed, not just produced.
 

How we work — read this part twice:

• The documents are the spec; the legacy code is not. Many current features are unused and several database tables are mislabeled (we've mapped this). When you hit a question about what something should do, you ask — you don't resolve it from old code. We answer questions daily, in writing, fast.
• Gates are real. Every epic starts with your proposed schema + migration plan; implementation starts after approval. Epics close when their definition-of-done closes — including a researcher completing the workflow without your help — not when the tasks are checked off.
• AI tooling is welcome and expected. We assume you'll use agents/copilots — we do. What we hire for is what the tools can't do: judgment. You verify what your tools produce against the real schema and the real data before it reaches us. "The agent said so" is not a source. (Our favorite recent bug: a generated diagram claiming a name column was an integer. The person who catches that is who we're hiring.)
• Evidence over memory. Unknowns get investigated — code usage, row counts, what breaks — and then ruled on. We don't guess.
  
  You're a fit if:
• Senior Django + React, with real ownership of at least one system end-to-end (schema through UI through deployment)
• You've done at least one legacy migration or system replacement and can talk concretely about what went wrong and what you'd do differently
• You read before you build — genuinely. Our last mismatch was a capable developer who never opened the app or the documents; the interview is designed to detect this, so if it's not you, save us both the call
• You're comfortable proposing designs to a non-engineer product owner who is deeply involved, defending them in writing, and being overruled on product grounds without sulking
• Strong written English; async-first habits; you leave a paper trail by default
• Bonus, not required: search infrastructure (Typesense/similar), data-pipeline/ETL work, having worked alongside scraper/ingestion systems, PostgreSQL depth
