About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer for the connectivity stack of a large-scale data platform. The work spans three areas:

• Client connectivity — drivers and client libraries used by applications and BI tools
• Source connectivity — connectors to databases and data systems, including authentication, metadata discovery, and query/data pushdown, with certification and upgrade support
• Agent & service connectivity — tool interfaces and integrations for AI-agent access to the platform

Deep expertise in one of these areas is enough — you'll grow into the adjacent ones over time. This is a role for an engineer who cares about API and protocol stability, backward compatibility, and interoperability with the tools enterprises actually use. You will lead the design and delivery of substantial components, working within an established architecture alongside US-based engineering reviewers.

This is a systems-level, backend engineering role focused on drivers, protocols, and distributed services — not application development or CRUD services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of connectivity components — client drivers, source connectors, and service integrations — turning ambiguous initiatives into well-scoped, reviewable milestones
• Produce technical designs, explain architectural trade-offs, and surface compatibility, security, and delivery risks early
• Maintain backward compatibility and API/protocol stability; build compatibility, interoperability, and performance test suites
• Develop and maintain connectors for major BI tools, collaborating with the technology partners behind them
• Diagnose complex client/server, protocol, and distributed-system failures; drive root-cause analysis of customer-reported and escaped defects

As a Lead Embedded Software Engineer you are a key part of our Architecture team to develop and implement the core features and functionalities to have our drones operate safely and autonomously in the air.
 

Together with our world-class team, currently seven team members, you will take an empowering role: pushing the boundaries of drone technologies. You will be working closely with stakeholders in Germany and US from the System architecture and Hardware development departments.
 

This is a full-time office job. Candidates must be located in Kyiv.
 

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Lead a team of embedded engineers
• Implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the Quantum-Systems autopilot firmware and firmware stack
• Design, Conception, implementation, and testing of new autopilot functionalities
• Export of flight control and navigation algorithms from Matlab / Simulink and integration into the autopilot’s embedded framework
• Implementation, maintenance, and optimization of BSP / peripheral and external sensor drivers and their optimized operation in the scope of the real-time operating system
• Building, documenting, and maintaining autopilot firmware for flight tests. Creation of flight test tickets, support of flight tests, and post-flight data analysis
• Creating unit tests, debugging/tracing of the code base for code coverage/functionality testing
• Maintenance of the firmware update eco system, including bootloaders & firmware updates
• Support in the implementation and maintenance of production tools

What you bring to the team:

• You have completed a degree in the field of bachelor’s or master’s degree in software engineering / electrical engineering and you have several years of experience working with embedded systems.
• You have a deep understanding of embedded systems and you are a senior in designing, implementing and optimizing embedded systems.
• You have strong knowledge of microcontrollers (ARM, Cortex-M), real-time operating systems and hardware and communication interfaces interfaces (UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, ETH ...)
• You are experienced with real-time operating systems like FreeRTOS or uCOS II and knowledge of multi-threading, task scheduling, and inter-task communication.
• You have the ability to bridge the gap between hardware and software, understanding the electrical and physical constraints, profound understanding of electronic schematics and efficiently utilizing available hardware resources
• You master version control and collaboration tools such as git and gitlab and you have experience in working in collaborative development environments with agile methodologies.
• You are highly self-motivated and drive your area of responsibility independently
• Due to your open, communicative, friendly, and competent attitude, it is easy for you to be considered as an internal expert

We are looking for an experienced Lead Monitoring Engineer (SCOM) to architect, implement, and maintain a proactive enterprise monitoring platform based on Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) 2022. Your mission will be to build a monitoring ecosystem capable of identifying and preventing service disruptions before they impact business operations or end users.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Microsoft SCOM 2022, including Management Servers, Gateways, Operational Database, and Data Warehouse.
• Build and support proactive monitoring for a hybrid Microsoft infrastructure, including:
  • Windows Server 2019+
  • Microsoft Exchange (On-Premises)
  • Microsoft 365 / Office 365 services
• Configure hardware monitoring for physical servers.
• Optimize monitoring quality by:
  • Establishing performance baselines
  • Reducing alert fatigue
  • Creating synthetic transactions and health checks
• Develop and maintain custom PowerShell scripts for automation, monitoring, and custom metric collection.
• Design monitoring standards, dashboards, alerts, and reporting to improve infrastructure visibility and reliability.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of enterprise Windows Server administration experience.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring solutions, preferably:
  • Microsoft SCOM (2012 R2 / 2016 / 2019 / 2022), or
  • Strong experience with Zabbix, PRTG, or Prometheus and a solid understanding of enterprise monitoring concepts.
• Deep knowledge of Windows internals, including:
  • WMI
  • Event Viewer
  • Performance Monitor (PerfMon)
  • Windows Registry
  • Performance troubleshooting (CPU, Memory, Disk I/O, Network)
• Good understanding of Microsoft Exchange architecture, including:
  • Database Availability Groups (DAG)
  • Mailbox databases
  • Transport queues
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and custom monitoring.
• Basic Microsoft SQL Server administration, including:
