Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as an Accountant in FinTech / PSP / high-risk / iGaming companies
• Experience working with different jurisdictions
• Mandatory experience with Poland accounting/reporting (core jurisdiction)
• Understanding of finance reporting standards (IFRS / GAAP)
• Experience with: month-end closing, financial reporting, payroll (multi-currency, contractors)
• Experience working with external accountants / outsourcing providers in different countries
• Strong Excel / manual data processing skills
• English –  B2+

Will be a plus:

• Experience with multiple European jurisdictions
• Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) 
• Knowledge of other languages

Responsibilities

Accounting & Reporting

• Support month-end closing and financial reporting.
• Consolidate financial data across companies and assist CFO/Head of Reconciliation with analysis.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards.
• Manage tax reporting (VAT/GST and corporate taxes) and oversee statutory reporting, including controlling filing annual accounts with local registrars (e.g. Companies House).
• Maintain financial deadlines calendar and liaise with external accountants across jurisdictions.

Payroll & Payments

• Manage payroll for ~50+ employees / contractors (multi-currency)
• Prepare payroll data and perform plan vs actual analysis
• Handle reporting related to payroll and compensation
• Record intercompany loans, fees, and settlements

Vendor & Accounts Payable 

• Work with vendor invoices and documentation
• Validate invoices and financial data from systems
• Coordinate with Treasury 
• Maintain and control vendor-related financial data

Budgeting & Finance Support

• Support CFO in budget preparation (data collection & validation)
• Provide financial inputs for planning 
• Consolidate departmental budgets into company-wide financial model
• Prepare monthly budget vs actual analysis

Audit & Compliance

• Support audit processes (data preparation, communication with auditors)
• Review statutory accounts prepared by external accountants
• Coordinate annual audit process
• Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation (PBC lists)
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data

What We Expect from You

• 2+ years of experience as a Financial Manager (or similar role)
• At least 6 months of financial management experience specifically in e-commerce or retail, working with the U.S. market
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks or Xero (must-have)
• Understanding of U.S. accounting and basic tax principles
• Experience working with import-driven businesses (EU/Asia → U.S.) and applying cost allocation methods
• Ability to work with outsourced accounting/bookkeeping providers
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, independence, and initiative
• English — Upper Intermediate+ (mostly written communication and working with financial documentation)

Your Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Budgeting

• Develop annual and quarterly budgets

• Compare planned vs. actual performance and analyze variances

   

Cash Flow & Liquidity Management

• Build and continuously update cash flow forecasts

• Monitor liabilities and ensure adequate financing when needed

   

Cost Management

• Recalculate product cost (including logistics from Italy/China, marketplace fees, packaging, and returns)

• Track profitability by sales channels and SKUs

   

Cost Optimization

• Identify opportunities to reduce expenses without compromising quality

• Prepare decision-making materials with calculated economic impact

   

Financial Meetings & Reporting

• Lead regular financial meetings with the CEO and key department heads

• Prepare management reports and financial analyses

   

Collaboration with External Partners (Accounting/Tax)

• Oversee the accuracy of financial records and calculations (via an external accounting firm)

• Resolve accounting and tax-related issues

   

Financial Analysis & Improvements

- 4-5+ years of development experience with Node.js;
