Job requirements

• Strong knowledge of Go and Python ecosystems, including frameworks for streaming, batch, and async data processing
• Strong SQL knowledges, including designing schemas, scaling strategies (replication, partitioning, sharding) and query optimisation for high-load environment
• Experience working with Docker, understanding CI/CD pipelines. Knows how work k8s (or analogs) and cloud infrastructure (like AWS)
• Experience with synchronous and asynchronous inter-service communication patterns, with a focus on reliability in high load environment
• Knows main microservice architecture patterns. Deep understanding of how to build efficient interactions between client and server applications, knows limitations
• Proven ability to design and implement a full observability strategy, including metrics, logging, dashboards, and tracing

We are currently looking for a Robotics Engineer who will help us develop and refine the hardware PoC for a cloud-connected robot assistant.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and integrate hardware components for the RoboticsByChat PoC based on Raspberry Pi.

Implement logic for:

- Button-triggered interaction (robot recognizes when it will be asked questions).
- Internet-based connectivity (preferably Wi-Fi) to access cloud LLM/AI chatbot functionality.
- Ensure seamless communication between the robot and cloud-based LLM services (all AI logic is processed in the cloud).
- Implement basic attention/interaction features:
Head movement
Hand movement
Digital eyes animation
Optimize and debug hardware–software interaction on the robot side.
Collaborate with cloud engineers, AI specialists, and the global team to ensure smooth integration.
Participate in discussions, propose improvements, and contribute to the evolution of the PoC into a scalable solution.

Requirements:

Must-have skills:

- Strong experience with Python.
- Experience working with Raspberry Pi and related hardware integrations.
- Solid understanding of robotics principles and basic mechatronics.
- Practical experience with sensors, actuators, servo motors, and digital animation (display/LED animations).
- Experience building PoCs or prototypes.
- Ability to integrate devices with cloud services via API/HTTP/WebSockets.
- Understanding of network connectivity (Wi-Fi, configuration, troubleshooting).
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Nice to have:

- Experience with MQTT or other IoT communication protocols.
