    SENIOR AWS DEVOPS

     

    Very good English both in oral and writing is an obligation

     

    Requirements for candidate :

     

    -Min 5 years Hands-on experience with managing AWS

    -Experience provisioning cloud resources using an Infrastructure as code tools (Ansible, Terraform, Etc.)

    -Work with cutting edge technologies such as Kubernetes, AWS Cloud formation, Jenkins and more.

    -At least 3 years of experience building CI\CD pipeline with any of: AWS CodePipeline, GitLabCI, Jenkins, BitBucket CI, Circle CI, Azure DevOps

    -Fluent in writing scripts (Bash, Python or PowerShell) and in reading OO code (Java, React, .Net, etc)

    -Extensive knowledge in containerization, Docker, docker-compose, Kubernetes, and cloud native technologies. Plus, but not mandatory lxc, openvz (if this is exist it’s probably the right person)

    -Experience with high scale production systems in a large enterprise

    Strong grasp of networking: TCP/IP, DNS, Load-Balancers, network security

    Experience with Databases: any SQL (manage and practice usage in scripts\own pet projects\some development), Mongo, Redis

    Experience with Search engines: Elastic Search (very prefer some exp there)

    The startup, created in 2011 in Ukraine, scaled into an international product company. Ajax security systems protect more than 3.5 million users in 187 countries.

    Ajax products are a whole ecosystem of 180 devices, mobile and desktop apps, and server infrastructure.

    The product line includes control panels, motion detectors, opening detectors, flood prevention, fire detectors, street and home sirens, alarm buttons with the appliances control function, smart sockets, and relays.

    Our infrastructure is a part of the product that is invisible to the end user, but critical to the life of the entire system. The safety of our users and their property depends on our uptime. We are constantly developing our cloud solutions and this requires automating our infrastructure, testing and improving its fault tolerance. For this purpose we are looking for Senior DevOps Engineer.
     

    Requirements:

    - 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes (AWS EKS).

    - Experience with creating/managing a GitOps pipeline using ArgoCD.

    - Experience with service mesh tools like Istio, LinkerD etc.

    - 4+ years of experience with managing Linux-based systems, TCP/IP networking.

    - 3+ years of experience with IaC and config management tools such as Terraform, Ansible.

    - 3+ years of experience with AWS stack: VPC, IAM, EC2, RDS, Elasticache, Route53, Lambda etc.
     

    Desirable:

    - Hashicorp Vault in Kubernetes.

    - Additional tools for Kubernetes: Karpenter, Calico, etc.

    - Message brokers: NATS, Kafka.

    - Databases: MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL.

    - Monitoring/Alerting: Datadog, Grafana, OpsGenie.

    - Others: Terragrunt, JVM, Gradle.
     

    Responsibilities:

    Proactively participate in the platform development:

    - manage Kubernetes;

    - migrate from EC2 to Kubernetes;

    - build new CI/CD pipelines based on Kubernetes;

    - running applications in Kubernetes following security best practices;

    - provide cost optimization plans;

    - build proactive monitoring;

    Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to:

    - application development teams;

    - junior DevOps teammates.

    Availability is essential. Sometimes you will need to help with issues in production that are most critical (On-call duties).
