We are a startup that has developed a new accounting software for Ukraine. We need an accountant to thoroughly review it and test it. We expect you to be an innovator here and come up with as many ways as possible to make it top notch. Your job is just suggesting fixes that our dedicated dev team will deploy. Therefore this takes expertise in the field across different softwares -- and a vision.

Ideally, after the software is fully finalised, we would love to keep you as a salesperson pitching it to other accountants and a support agents manager that deeply understands the software and can help with some rather technical questions.

We’re looking for a Payments Lead to own our payment stack end-to-end and make it work better: higher approval rates, fewer failed renewals, cleaner data, fewer surprises.

The infrastructure is already live - a multi-PSP setup with orchestration on top - so this isn’t a build-from-zero role. It’s the opposite: the stack works, but it isn’t yet mature. Reconciliation, payment reporting, monitoring and incident management are only partly in place, and billing analytics is roughly halfway there. Bringing those to a mature, reliable state is the core of this role.

You’ll be the person who knows exactly how money moves through the system - which provider handled a transaction and why, where it failed, what it cost, and what to change. Payments is one of the four infrastructure functions the company scales on, so the work has direct, measurable weight on revenue.

Responsibilities:

• Own the payment infrastructure day to day: multi-PSP setup, orchestration, routing rules, cascading, failover, MID portfolio, processing resilience
• Drive subscription billing performance - approval rate, renewals, retries, dunning, failed payment recovery, involuntary churn
• Build out billing analytics together with the Data team: unified data sources, BI reporting that business unit leads can actually make decisions on
• Develop payment reporting, reconciliation, monitoring, alerting, and incident management into stable, repeatable processes
• Own the payment risk profile in practice: chargebacks, fraud, refunds, disputes, and compliance with card scheme monitoring programs (VAMP, SMMP)
• Own day-to-day relationships with PSPs and acquirers: compliance requests, warnings, payouts, escalations - you collect the facts, you find the answer, you own the outcome
• Advise on provider strategy: which PSP setup fits which product and market, on what terms, where the risks are, and when it’s time to diversify
• Work with Billing Engineering on what gets built next, and write the requirements that make it buildable
• Partner with Product, Growth, Finance and Legal on anything where payments affect revenue, scalability or risk
• Bring automation and AI tooling into payment operations where it removes manual work.

What we look for:

• 3+ years in payments, acquiring, billing, or payment operations - merchant side, B2C subscription-based products
• Hands-on experience managing the full recurring payment lifecycle in subscription-based products - from initial charges and recurring renewals to payment retries, dunning, and failed payment recovery
• Practical experience with multi-PSP infrastructure and orchestration: routing, cascading, failover, MID management - you’ve configured it, not just read about it
• Strong grasp of payment risk: chargebacks, fraud, disputes, decline codes, card scheme monitoring programs
• Comfortable in the data: able to build or specify payment reporting, work with analysts, and tell a real signal from noise
• Demonstrable impact on approval, renewal or recovery rate - able to walk through the before/after
• Understanding of how PSP selection and onboarding actually works: requirements, underwriting, commercial terms - even if someone else handled the paperwork
• Experience with Tier 1 markets, especially the US
• Experience across multiple products, entities or jurisdictions
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher.

Nice to have: people management experience is a plus.

We offer:

• Full ownership of the payment stack: infrastructure, performance, risk, and provider setup
• Direct, measurable impact on revenue - in a company where subscriptions are the only monetization model
• High autonomy: you decide how things get built, and you set the priorities within Payments
• A technically complex scope - multiple products, markets, legal entities and providers - with real engineering support behind it
• Close collaboration with founders and C-level; short decision chains, no layers to push through
• A clear path to Head of Payments as the function and the business scale.

Reports to: Principal AI Architect
Department: AI & Advisory
Location: Ukraine – Remote
Term: Full-Time

Atlas Technica is a leading managed services and technology firm serving hedge funds, private equity firms, family offices, and other alternative investment businesses. We design, secure, and operate the technology platforms behind highly regulated firms where confidentiality, availability, and trust are non-negotiable.

Atlas is expanding from traditional managed services into managed intelligence. Our AI & Advisory practice helps clients adopt generative AI, build agentic workflows, and move internal prototypes toward secure production use without losing control of proprietary data, identity, permissions, cost, or compliance.

We are seeking a Senior AI Architect to become the senior architecture leader for Atlas's Ukraine-based AI capability. This person will report directly to the Principal AI Architect and work closely with the Global Head of AI & Advisory.

This is a hands-on architecture and client leadership role. You will lead selected client engagements, guide AI Engineers, and turn uncertain business and technical requirements into secure, practical designs. Over time, you will become the architecture lead for Atlas's offshore AI Center of Excellence, helping establish its standards, delivery methods, technical review practices, and talent model.

You will also be closely involved in designing Atlas's AI lab and test environments with the Principal AI Architect and Global Head of AI & Advisory. You will help determine what Atlas should test, how it should be validated, and when a pattern is ready to be used with clients. You will not own the overall AI lab or the entire AI practice.

This is not a role for someone who only produces diagrams or manages technical teams. The right candidate still reviews code, tests assumptions, troubleshoots integrations, and can step into implementation when the problem demands it.

Requirements:

• Ideally 10 or more years of experience across software, cloud, data, security, solution architecture, or related technical disciplines, including significant experience leading complex architecture decisions
• Hands-on experience designing and delivering production AI, machine learning, data, or agentic systems
• Strong Microsoft Azure architecture experience across application hosting, identity, networking, storage, databases, logging, security, and deployment patterns
