Senior Java Developer (ge_om) Offline

Project Description:

Luxoft is starting new project for a worldwide market leader in energy transmission and distribution. The product will be an implementation solution for wholesale electricity day ahead market system. The aim of the system is improving the efficiency and transparency of the operation of the electricity sector. This solution will allow Energy operators to run energy wholesale marketplaces and power exchange where traders, energy producers and energy distributors trades energy and related services. This solution is an IT system that is running on Windows/Linux, JEE platform and SQL databases. The design, development and testing of the solution spread over the next few years.

Our team: TL + 5 software developers in Kyiv (in progress of forming the team). Product Owner, PM on client's side in France & Oman.

Technologies used: Java, Spring, Hibernate, web services

Responsibilities:

- Design and develop software according to functional requirements

- Application and DB performance tuning

- Daily communication with Customer's technical persons and analyst

- Fix defects and develop functional increments

- Be capable to test software (unit and integration testing)

Mandatory Skills:

- Java / J2EE

- Spring Framework

- Web Services (SOAP and/or REST)

- Hibernate

- BPMN 2.0 (highly desired)

- GWT (highly desired)
