Senior QA Java Automation/ Performance (offline)

A “can do” attitude is encouraged.
We are looking for a Java expert or someone who would like to become an expert in Java and the other technologies we use.
We are building from scratch Automation capabilities and tools.

What you will need:

· A University degree in computer science, Industrial engineering or related field – MUST
· 2+ years of experience in Java programming
· Experience in API Automation Testing – MUST
· Good understanding of QA methodology – test plans, test cycles, and software releases – MUST
· Strong ‘hands-on’ experience developing software tests for functional, performance, and regression testing that include automated, ad-hoc, and manual testing elements
· Debug system issues, identifying if the problem is in test code or product code
· Experience with Performance Testing automation tools (Gatling - an advantage) - An advantage
· Testing on cloud AWS / Azure - An advantage
· Experience in a Linux environment - An advantage
· Participate in design and code reviews - An advantage
· Knowledge and experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Build and Continuous Deployment Practice, Tools and trends - An advantage
· Agile team experience - An advantage
Notes:
· UI testing is NOT required
· Good command of Java (+ best development practices) is required as the team is developing their own testing tools
· The candidate is expected to be able to form and argument his own opinion on various aspects of testing and development.
· Good communication skills, proactivity, good English
· Need to read Scala occasionally
· Team of 6 TA engineers (3 in Israel, 1 in Minsk, 2 in Kyiv)
