Python Data Analyst with DSP experience (offline)

At the moment, we are looking for Signal Analysis Software Engineer to work with our partner - US/France high-tech startup company focused on R&D in the automotive industry.

About project
The revolutionary monitoring system leverages car's vibrations with data science to anticipate maintenance needs. The project was presented within CES in Las Vegas 2018 and 2019.

Requirements
- Experience with Digital Signal Processing (DSP);
- experience working with acoustics or vibration signals;
- experience writing in Python, C/C++;
- experience with tools such as Matlab, R, Hadoop, Kafka, Java, Pig, Q, and/or other analysis software languages and tools;
- good written and oral English language skills.

Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for ensuring that our systems are continually improving, evolving and that the number of different issues that we can uniquely identify in mechanical systems is constantly growing.
-You will also be responsible for generating new insights into vehicle problems based-on new and existing data sources. You will discover new relationships in the vibration data we collect, propose, execute, and deliver on and lead these analysis projects.

Daily duties
- Extracting and analyzing data to derive actionable insights.
- Formulating success metrics for completely novel relationships, productizing them, and reports to monitor them.
- Working closely with firmware and backend engineers to introduce new algorithms into our platforms.
- Working closely with the other team members to improve and evolve the product.
- Establishing internal and external success metrics and implementing them across the company and across the company's systems.

About you
- You are an experienced DSP or signal analysis software engineer with expertise in conducting the frequency analysis of sounds, vibrations, etc. to gain insights into what such data might tell you.
- You are comfortable both in the time domain and in the Fourier domain, understand basic data science, can work with tools such as Matlab, and can code in both Python and C.
- You have a passion for excellence and ensuring the least possible false-positive conclusions while optimizing your algorithms for large-scale deployments on very small devices.
- You are curious about new technology and always expanding your knowledge of the latest and greatest tools while learning about algorithm optimizations.
- You also have been instrumental in finding data-driven opportunities in industrial, automotive, or other mechanical applications and have been involved in at least one broadly used product.
- You have software development experience with Python and strong mathematics background, with a rich background in spectral and frequency-based analysis.
