Senior Python Developer Offline

Project overview:

The solution provides planning and design services covering intercity, metro and access networks. You’ll be working on an asset management tool for optical fiber networks including the initial planning and design aspect of this.

Technologies

* Python 2.x, 3.x, Django/Flask

* Restful APIs, SOAP and/or JSON (GeoJSON)

* Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL

* Agile, Test Driven Development

* GIS, Esri ArcGIS software suite, Google Maps, Carto Mapping, Open Source GIS or routing technologies.

Opportunities

* Build project architecture from scratch

* Have a business trip to Kenya for 2-3 weeks during the first three months

* Work with maps and geolocations.

Responsibilities

* Set-up development process

* Make integration with Cad Drawings

* Work with databases and maps

* Communicate with the customer

Hard skills (Must have):

* Demonstrable experience working with enterprise software development using Python 2.x and 3.x

* Experience and knowledge of Python frameworks such as Django and/or Flask

* Experience in developing web services using Restful APIs, SOAP and/or JSON (GeoJSON)

* Database and SQL experience in Oracle, Postgresql, MySQL etc.

* Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum) and Test Driven Development

* GIS knowledge and development using products such as Esri ArcGIS software suite, Google Maps, Carto Mapping, Open Source GIS or routing technologies

* Upper-Intermediate level of English

Optional hard skills (Nice to have):

* Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as CouchDB would be a plus
