QA Lead (offline)

Summary / Objective:
Klickly is seeking an intelligent, organized and highly-motivated individual to join us as a QA Lead. This role will be responsible for ensuring that our high customer experience standards are applied to all new product releases. It is especially suited to individuals with a proven track-record leading a small team of QA Specialists and Engineers in the testing of complex technical products – the role will own all product testing activities in the company, with a focus on both manual and automated testing. 4-5 years experience in a QA testing role desired. Passion for startups a must.


Essential functions:
Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Ensuring that the Production environment is reliable and free from defect
- Partnering across the organization to understand and document product requirements and create sound test cases
- Reviewing user stories, acceptance criteria, specifications, and other available information in order to develop test plans and test cases
- Creating, documenting, verifying, and executing both automated and manual user acceptance test plans
- Executing and managing the execution of performance tests
- Executing and managing the execution of component-level as well as platform-wide testing plans to ensure all tools in the platform work as intended independently and collectively
- Carrying out and managing the completion of root-cause analysis on defects to ensure high-quality fixes
- Participating in requirements gathering sessions and sprint planning
- Adhering to standard operating procedures and metrics collection to ensure consistency and improvement in our processes for testing software
- Ensuring complete and proper communication about risks to quality
- Being available for work during off-hours maintenance windows as required to enact environment optimizations
- Managing a small team of QA Specialists in the execution of their QA responsibilities


Desired experience and skills:
- 4-5+ years experience in hands-on software testing roles
- 1+ years experience in leading teams of both manual and automated QA specialists
- 1+ years experience in eCommerce, marketing, advertising, or payment industries
- Demonstrated ability to identify and prioritize current and upcoming needs of QA teams, building out new processes, systems, and structures as well as optimizing existing ones
- Demonstrated understanding of Agile software development and testing practices, like release planning, test plans, test cases, and CI/CD
- Demonstrated knowledge of QA methodologies and tools, backed by hands-on experience testing software in both a manual and automated capacity
- Experience with automated testing technologies, including RESTful API testing automation, JavaScript, load and performance testing, Git, Jira, Jenkins, etc.
- Organized with impeccable attention to detail and a methodical and consistent working style
- A proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments at any given time
