Senior / Lead Quality Engineer – AI-Native Quality Engineering
About the Client and Product
Our client provides one of the world’s leading online video platforms, designed to power live streaming, online presentations, conferences, events, tutorials, and training sessions. Leveraging advanced browser-based video capture and streaming technologies, the platform supports thousands of simultaneous viewers and processes millions of minutes of video content annually.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior / Lead Quality Engineer to drive the transformation toward an AI-native Quality Engineering model. This is not a traditional QA leadership role focused on managing manual testing or using AI copilots for routine tasks.
We need someone who can design and implement an intelligent, agent-driven quality ecosystem where AI agents actively participate throughout the software development lifecycle. These agents should be capable of analyzing requirements, identifying risks, generating test scenarios, executing browser-based tests, investigating failures, and reporting quality insights with minimal human intervention. The ideal candidate combines strong QA expertise, hands-on AI engineering experience, architectural thinking, and the ability to turn an AI-driven vision into a working solution.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the vision and roadmap for AI-native Quality Engineering.
- Design and implement AI-agent architectures and workflows for autonomous testing.
- Enable agents to analyze requirements, generate scenarios, execute tests, and investigate defects.
- Integrate AI agents with browsers, APIs, code repositories, testing environments, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Establish quality standards, testing strategies, and appropriate human oversight.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and continuously improve testing efficiency, coverage, and reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to drive quality across the development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in QA / Quality Engineering.
- Proven experience defining QA strategies and leading quality initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of functional, exploratory, regression, integration, and risk-based testing.
- Understanding of software architecture, SDLC, Agile, and CI/CD.
- Experience with web applications, APIs, browser testing, and automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud environments, preferably AWS.
AI & Agentic Engineering — Critical Requirement
- Hands-on experience designing, building, or implementing AI agents and autonomous workflows.
- Understanding of agentic architectures, tool calling, context management, and multi-agent orchestration.
- Experience applying LLMs to engineering workflows beyond basic prompting and AI-assisted documentation.
- Ability to build agents that interact with browsers, applications, APIs, and development environments.
- Understanding of AI limitations, reliability, hallucinations, and output validation.
- Ability to translate an AI-native QA vision into a technical architecture and working implementation.
Leadership
- Strong architectural and systems-thinking capabilities.
- Experience driving technical transformation and challenging traditional QA approaches.
- Ability to communicate technical vision and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently.
Nice to Have
- Experience with LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar agent frameworks.
- Experience with Playwright, Puppeteer, or other browser automation tools.
- Familiarity with MCP and agent-to-tool integrations.
- Experience integrating AI agents into CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of LLM evaluation methodologies and AI-powered testing platforms.
- Experience with OpenAI API, Anthropic API, or similar services.
What Success Looks Like
- Establishing a clear AI-native Quality Engineering strategy.
- Delivering a working agent-driven testing architecture.
- Implementing autonomous testing and defect investigation workflows.
- Reducing dependency on repetitive manual testing and traditional test maintenance.
- Improving test coverage, defect detection, and release confidence.
English Requirements
B2 or higher English, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
