About the project

A company in the telecommunications sector is enhancing its live ServiceNow platform and needs an experienced Product Owner to drive new features. The work starts with ITSM. You’ll guide the client’s internal Product Owner, the technical teams and the integration partner, and you’ll mentor a junior Product Owner.

What you’ll do

• Lead the definition and delivery of new features and platform enhancements, starting with ITSM
• Advise the internal Product Owner and technical teams on backlog prioritisation
• Shape end-to-end processes and integrations, including ServiceNow–Jira handovers from L1/L2 support to L3 development
• Turn business and operational needs into clear epics, user stories and acceptance criteria
• Guide the integration partner’s work, especially on service assurance capabilities
• Mentor the junior Product Owner and share your knowledge

What you bring

• Extensive hands-on experience as a Product Owner for ServiceNow ITSM, with a track record of enhancements on a live platform
• Deep practical knowledge of Incident, Problem, Change and Request Management, and how these are set up and connected in ServiceNow
• Confidence to challenge requirements and proposed solutions, use standard ServiceNow features where possible, and steer teams towards maintainable solutions
• Strong experience writing user stories from operational needs, managing priorities and validating delivered work
• Solid understanding of service assurance and L1/L2/L3 support processes
• Experience managing system integrators and coaching less experienced Product Owners
• Telecommunications experience is a strong advantage
