Senior Salesforce Business Analyst
Who we are:
Adaptiq is a technology hub specializing in building, scaling, and supporting R&D teams for high-end, fast-growing product companies in a wide range of industries.
About the Product:
Our client is an international B2B software company helping organizations oversee complex technology environments. Its solutions bring together automation, operational insights, and coordinated workflows to help specialist teams assess risks, investigate issues, and take appropriate action.
The companyβs internal applications support the entire customer journey, connecting marketing, sales, commercial operations, customer success, and finance. Reliable integrations and accurate information are essential to managing this journey effectively.
About the Role:
You will join the business applications team, combining business analysis with hands-on Salesforce administration.
Your work will span both ongoing platform operations and improvements to Salesforce and its connected applications. You will partner with stakeholders to understand their needs, define solutions, configure changes, and support delivery through testing, rollout, and adoption.
This position requires a broader view of how business processes and systems interact. You should be comfortable investigating the reasons behind requests, identifying dependencies, discussing alternatives, and recommending solutions that remain manageable as business needs evolve.
You will also share responsibility for daily administration and first- and second-line support for several hundred Salesforce users, balancing operational requests with planned project work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Map and improve lead-to-cash and quote-to-cash processes across marketing, sales, revenue operations, finance, and customer success.
- Run requirements discussions with stakeholders, clarify the underlying need, and translate it into functional specifications and practical solution designs.
- Build and deliver Salesforce changes end to end, including testing, deployment, go-live, and post-release support.
- Assess changes against Salesforce constraints, data and security models, and their effects on connected processes.
- Administer users, roles, profiles, permission sets, and sharing settings; resolve day-to-day access and platform issues.
- Configure and maintain flows, validation rules, layouts, custom objects, reports, and dashboards.
- Manage sandboxes and releases while protecting data quality and platform stability.
- Support CPQ configuration, including product catalogs, pricing, approvals, and quote templates, and its alignment with opportunity and order processes.
- Maintain connections between Salesforce and other go-to-market tools, including field mappings, sync rules, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing, training, documentation, and the prioritization of new requests with business stakeholders and the wider applications team.
Required Competence and Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Salesforce Business Analyst and/or Administrator, with experience in a B2B software or SaaS environment.
- Strong understanding of lead-to-cash or quote-to-cash processes and how work and data move between departments.
- Hands-on Salesforce administration experience, including declarative configuration and Tier 1β2 user support.
- Demonstrated ownership of requirements, solution design, implementation, go-live, and subsequent support.
- Sound knowledge of the Salesforce data model, security model, and maintainable automation practices.
- Experience working directly with stakeholders to investigate requests, define scope, and explain technical trade-offs.
- Familiarity with Experience Cloud and Lightning Web Components, and the ability to read and understand Apex code.
- Excellent written and spoken English for working with international colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to organize competing project and support priorities, work independently, and seek input when a solution calls for it.
Nice to Have:
- Salesforce Certified Administrator certification or additional Salesforce certifications, such as Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant, or Business Analyst.
- Experience with DealHub CPQ or another CPQ platform, and with tools such as HubSpot, Gong, or Outreach.
- Experience configuring integrations through native connectors or middleware, including data mapping and sync troubleshooting; familiarity with APIs.
- Experience with Data Loader or other data quality and migration tools, SOQL, and advanced reporting.
- Experience working in Agile teams and using Jira.
