About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager / Business Analyst to join a long-term software development project for our established Romanian client.

This is a key position for a technically strong professional who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders, software architects, and development teams.

You will take ownership of technical requirements, translate architectural decisions into clear, actionable user stories, manage project dependencies, and ensure predictable delivery.

This role offers an opportunity to become a central figure in the project's growth, with the potential to coordinate an expanding team of developers and take on broader delivery responsibilities as the project scales.

We are looking for someone who is not just a project coordinator but a hands-on technical PM/BA who understands software architecture, can confidently participate in technical discussions, and knows how to turn complex requirements into structured development tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end software development delivery across .NET, Azure, and AWS projects.
• Collaborate closely with software architects to understand technical solutions, architectural decisions, and implementation requirements.
• Translate complex technical and business requirements into well-defined user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable development tasks.
• Own and maintain project backlogs using Azure DevOps Boards.
• Plan and track development activities, milestones, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
• Identify technical risks, blockers, and cross-team dependencies, ensuring timely resolution.
• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, architects, and software engineers.
• Participate in technical discussions and ensure requirements are accurately communicated to the development team.
• Coordinate sprint planning, backlog refinement, prioritization, and delivery tracking.
• Support future team expansion by establishing scalable delivery processes and coordinating additional developers.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, Technical Business Analyst, or in a combined PM/BA role within software development projects.
• Hands-on experience managing projects involving .NET / C#, Microsoft Azure, and/or AWS.
• Strong technical understanding of software development processes, application architecture, APIs, integrations, and cloud-based solutions.
• Ability to understand technical discussions with software architects and translate architectural requirements into development-ready user stories.
• Strong experience with Azure DevOps Boards, including backlog management, work items, sprint planning, and delivery tracking.
• Experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating business and technical requirements.
• Ability to write clear user stories with acceptance criteria and manage requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
• Experience managing project dependencies, technical risks, priorities, and delivery timelines.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the SDLC.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
• Must be based in Romania and hold Romanian citizenship.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience working as a software developer, systems analyst, or solution architect.
• Experience coordinating multiple development teams or scaling engineering teams.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience working with distributed or international engineering teams.
