Product Owner
About the role:
We are looking for a proactive Product Owner who can bring structure to product development, keep teams aligned, and drive work through to completion.
You will work closely with development, QA, design, marketing, and sales to turn business goals and customer needs into clear priorities and working features.
We need someone who takes ownership, follows up on commitments, removes blockers, and keeps things moving without constant supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Turn business goals and customer requests into clear priorities and delivery plans.
- Keep the backlog organized, up to date, and ready for development.
- Make sure tasks have clear requirements, acceptance criteria, owners, and deadlines.
- Keep the team focused on priorities and drive ongoing work to completion.
- Track progress, follow up on commitments, and address delays early.
- Resolve blockers by bringing the right people together, getting decisions, and escalating when needed.
- Coordinate work across development, QA, design, marketing, sales, and support.
- Work with marketing and sales to understand customer needs, market demand, and objections raised during the sales process.
- Turn feedback from prospects, customers, and internal teams into product improvements.
- Coordinate product launches and make sure marketing and sales understand what is being released, who it is for, and why it matters.
- Help prepare accurate product messaging, demos, release notes, and sales materials.
- Keep customer commitments aligned with the product roadmap and the teamβs delivery capacity.
- Provide clear updates on progress, risks, delays, and next steps.
- Establish practical processes for planning, delivery, acceptance, and releases.
- Verify that delivered features work as expected and meet the agreed requirements.
- Improve how teams work without adding unnecessary meetings or paperwork.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Product Owner, Delivery Manager, or Technical Project Manager in software development.
- A track record of bringing structure to teams and improving delivery.
- Experience working closely with marketing and sales in a B2B product company.
- Ability to work independently, make decisions, and take ownership of results.
- Confidence to challenge unclear requirements, unrealistic deadlines, and missed commitments.
- Persistence in following up and getting issues resolved.
- Strong communication skills, including giving direct feedback and handling disagreements.
- Ability to balance customer needs, business priorities, and technical constraints.
- A structured approach to documenting decisions and tracking commitments.
- Understanding of APIs, integrations, cloud applications, and data flows.
- English sufficient for working with international customers and writing documentation.
Nice to have:
- Experience with IoT, B2B SaaS, or technical platforms.
- Experience coordinating multiple teams and managing dependencies.
- Experience taking over an existing product with a large backlog and inconsistent processes.
- Experience supporting product launches, customer demos, and sales activities.
What success looks like:
Priorities are clear. Tasks have owners, deadlines, and agreed outcomes. Blockers get resolved quickly, commitments are followed through, and risks are raised early.
Development, marketing, and sales work toward shared goals. Customer feedback informs product decisions, launches are coordinated, and the team regularly delivers working features.
Management can rely on you to keep work moving and bring issues to resolution.
