Senior MSD ERP Consultant – Dynamics 365 Finance (Functional)

We are looking for a Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant to lead the finance part of ERP implementations for a retail client. You will run discovery workshops with the business and match complex requirements to what standard D365 Finance can do. Then you will run a detailed fit-gap analysis to find what is missing. You will write functional design documents, process flows and specifications for D365 developers. You will also guide setups that use several currencies, legal entities and accounting standards (multi-GAAP). The role covers the core finance processes: Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, fixed assets, cost management, budgeting and tax. You will also lead financial data migration, testing, cutover and support after go-live, and set up security roles and Segregation of Duties rules. This role suits a hands-on consultant who has done several full D365 Finance implementations and is comfortable leading workshops with finance teams.

About the project:
The client is a retail company that is implementing or extending Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations across its business. It has a complex structure, with several legal entities, multiple currencies and reporting under different accounting standards. The project covers the whole finance area, from general ledger and fixed assets to payables, receivables, cost accounting, cash management, budgeting and local tax rules. Moving data from old systems, testing and a smooth go-live are key parts of the work. The team works in CET hours and stays in close contact with the client's finance and business teams. The goal is a stable, well-controlled finance platform that uses standard D365 features wherever possible.

You have:

• 3+ years of experience implementing ERP finance modules
• At least 2 full lifecycle implementations of D365 Finance (F&O)
• A strong understanding of IFRS and US GAAP, financial consolidation, the asset accounting lifecycle, P2P, O2C, cost accounting and local tax requirements
• Hands-on experience with the core D365 F&O modules: General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Asset Leasing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Management & Cost Accounting, Cash & Bank Management, Budgeting & Budget Control and Tax
• Experience leading discovery workshops and fit-gap analysis
• Experience writing functional design documents (FDDs) and specifications for developers
• Experience migrating financial data with the Data Management Framework (DMF)
• Experience with SIT, UAT, cutover planning and support after go-live (hypercare)
• Experience defining Segregation of Duties rules and D365 security roles
• Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate (MB-310)
• Fluent English
• Based in CEE, Southern Europe or Ukraine and able to work in CET hours

Data and system delivery

• Lead the migration of financial data with DMF: open vendor and customer balances, historical transactions, GL accounts, costing data and fixed asset books
• Run System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Plan the cutover and support users after go-live
• Define Segregation of Duties rules, custom D365 security roles and internal control frameworks
