Senior System Analyst (Java Backend)

We are looking for a Senior System Analyst with strong analytical skills who likes to get hands-on with system design. You will take complex business requirements and turn them into clear functional and technical specifications for backend solutions in a modern Java-based environment. Your designs need to be scalable, secure, robust and fast. You will also define how systems talk to each other through APIs, integrations and data flows. You will work closely with Product Owners, Architects, Developers and business stakeholders, and stay involved through every stage of software development. You will support developers while they build, answer their questions about requirements and help make architecture decisions. This role suits an analyst who can lead the work on their own, from gathering requirements all the way to solution design.

The client runs a large enterprise environment built on modern Java backend systems. Its platform is made up of distributed services and microservices that exchange data through REST APIs, web services and event-driven integrations. The client wants a stronger analysis and design team so these systems stay scalable, secure and easy to maintain as they grow. Teams work in an Agile way, and analysts, architects, developers and product owners work closely together. All solutions must follow the company's architecture principles and best practices. The System Analyst will play a key role in shaping how new features and integrations are designed and delivered.

You have:

• 5+ years of practical experience as a System Analyst, Solution Architect or in a similar role, clearly shown in your CV
• Strong experience analyzing and designing backend systems in Java-based environments
• A solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture and system integration patterns
• Experience with REST APIs, web services and event-driven architectures
• Strong knowledge of data modeling and relational databases
• Experience creating UML diagrams, workflow models, sequence diagrams and technical documentation
• Ability to lead analysis on your own, from gathering requirements to solution design
• A mature, practical approach to working in Agile teams
• Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
• Very strong written and spoken English

Nice to have:

• Experience with Java, Spring Boot or other Java ecosystem technologies
• Familiarity with Azure
• Experience with messaging and integration technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar
• Knowledge of DevOps practices
• Experience in large enterprise environments
