Senior Mobile Engineer (iOS and Android)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mobile Engineer to join one of our client's product development teams on a long-term contract.

You will work on an AI-powered customer communication and lead conversion platform, developing and maintaining native iOS and Android applications. The role involves building scalable mobile solutions, integrating real-time communication features, and leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering efficiency and code quality.

This position requires working hours from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM Kyiv time.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain native iOS and Android applications using Swift and Kotlin.
• Build modern, responsive user interfaces with SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose.
• Design and maintain scalable, modular mobile architectures following MVVM and Clean Architecture principles.
• Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and third-party services.
• Implement and optimize real-time messaging, push notifications, and communication features.
• Actively use AI-powered development tools such as Cursor, Windsurf, or equivalent solutions for coding, debugging, refactoring, and testing.
• Maintain high code quality through automated testing, code reviews, and performance optimization.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and mobile application release processes.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver new features and improve existing functionality.

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of professional mobile development experience, including hands-on development for both iOS and Android.
• Strong proficiency in Swift and Kotlin, with solid knowledge of native mobile development practices.
• Experience with SwiftUI, UIKit, Jetpack Compose, and Android Jetpack libraries.
• Strong understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, modular application design, and dependency injection.
• Experience with Swift Concurrency (async/await), Kotlin Coroutines, and Flow.
• Professional proficiency with Cursor, Windsurf, or comparable AI-powered development tools, including practical experience using AI agents for code generation, debugging, refactoring, and test development.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and third-party SDKs.
• Strong knowledge of mobile application performance optimization, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with unit testing, UI testing, and CI/CD processes.
• Familiarity with Git, Gradle, and Swift Package Manager.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• English: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher.

Preferred

• Experience with real-time communication technologies, VoIP, WebRTC, or Twilio.
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) or shared mobile development approaches.
• Familiarity with AI-powered features and LLM integrations in mobile applications.
• Experience with mobile observability, crash reporting, and analytics tools.
• Experience optimizing AI-assisted development workflows and integrating them into team engineering practices.
