Crypto and Fintech Advisor (Licensing, EMI)

About the role
We are looking for a lawyer with hands-on crypto experience to lead licensing and regulatory matters and to support our clients on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage licensing applications (VASP, MiCA, EMI and payment institution licenses)
• Liaise with regulators and respond to their requests
• Develop and maintain AML/KYC policies and compliance documentation
• Provide legal support for products, terms of service and client agreements
• Advise clients on regulatory, sanctions and licensing questions
• Keep management updated on regulatory changes

Requirements

• Mandatory practical experience with crypto projects and licensing
• Experience with EMI or payment institution licensing
• Knowledge of EU regulation (MiCA, AMLD) and the regimes of jurisdictions such as Lithuania, Poland, Malta, Cyprus, Estonia
• Strong client-facing skills
• Ukrainian/Russian, professional English
   

Nice to have: experience in a crypto exchange, payment company or specialised fintech law firm; familiarity with Asian regulatory regimes.
